I will answer you last question since that one is fair and not BS by you. What I admired about Tillerson is that he told the truth to Trump. Truth to power. Tillerson told Trump what Trump needed to hear notbwhat Trump wanted to hear.

I don't know that she isn't. The only evidence I have is that Trump, who has distain for the deep state, nominated her and she has a pretty conservative record, what little record we the public have. All the criticism from the left on this move serves to prove it was the right move. About time too.

 

What I recall is that people here were jumping on the Trump bandwagon and praised Trump's appointment of Tillerson because Rex came from oil and he was a great energy CEO and he bad dealings with Russia so that was just great, blah blah blah.. I was cautious and was worried especially about Russia connection but I was willing to give him a chance.

Right before he was fired abruptly which is unusual, Tillerson went against the President when he said:

Poison used on a former spy in the United Kingdom "came from Russia."

I read that Theresa May also bowed to pressure when she blamed Russia. One has to wonder 'who' is pressuring them and for what reason?

Tillerson ran the State dept like a CEO. He seemed to think he would be solely responsible for foreign policy, and butted heads with the CEO of the nation. It didn't work out as Trump or Tillerson hoped. I think Tillerson thought Trump was an idiot and would defer all foreign policy to him, which is why he dropped his billionaire salary to perform a civic duty for the good of the country. They didn't see eye to eye on much, and didn't conduct his role correctly and was let go. I don't think there is a bad guy here, just an untenable role relationship.

 

Actually, Pompeo has very little in the way of foreign policy experience. He has been a reliable ally of Isreal, and has singed on to Trump's pro Saudi agenda.

He didn't even serve on the Foreign Relations Committee before he was appointed to CIA chief.

And he has NO experience in dealing with foriegn leaders outside of a few meetings.

 

I do not see that much criticism from the left.

 

Sorry, but Pompeo is a barbaric moron.

He is pro black prisons with virtually unlimited torture, thinks Edward Snowden should be executed, is in total climate denial, is for government censorship of movies, is for invading the private lives of Americans and on and on.

The guy is yet another Rep who desperately wants it to be 1956 again.
