Like I said, North Korea has been "willing to talk" for 20+ years.

Seems like Kim Jong Un and Trump should be good buddies considering they share so much in common ... small hands, weird hair cuts and their staff seems
to just disappear without any explanation.

But this really isn't funny anymore.
It's expensive and time consuming for Congress to have to keep vetting these people. Reagan had about an 18% turnover rate in his first 2 years in office - Trump is
banging on 45% turnover. There is something wrong here. Either Trump hired crap people or they are turning to crap on the job. Either way, it doesn't say much for Trump's leadership.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that you are talking about Rex Tillerson.

Where did you hear that he was hired because of those supposed recommdations from Bannon and Jared?

Because, Trump hadn't quite SCRAPED the Absolute BOTTOM of the Barrel.

Now that Trump has reached the SLUDGE at the BOTTOM, Trump has Pompeo.

President Trump is reaching his stride, and getting people whom he can trust, and who will carry his agenda without being told what to do. You think otherwise? Time will tell who is right.

And so they have, getting shitload of free stuff every-time they' threatened doing this, or not doing that. Threats do not work on Trump, though.

There is also a serious problem that occurs when a person in power ONLY hires people who agree with them on all issues. Paranoia should not be the ruling agenda of the
    White House.

Not the reason Trump fired Tillerson.

Look, they may disagree ALL they want in private, but out there Cabinet members MUST support president, and president's agenda, for they serve at president's pleasure.

Is all there is to it.

You have surely identified the one (ONE) reason that NK is willing to "talk"... they need food, fuel, and lots of other 'free-stuff'. Clinton, Idiot Bush, and Idiot Obama were all willing to play along with letting NK have essentially anything and everything they wanted, even though they lied through their teeth and laughed at us every day.

But somehow, someway, Trump has apparently managed to get the Chinese to at least reduce the flow of 'free-stuff' to NK, and make enough of the sanctions "strategy" work that, finally, Kim Jong-un is being forced to negotiate. Very frankly, if this succeeds, it will have surprised the hell out of me. I had assumed that the only way to make an 'impression' on little Kimmy would be to turn NK into an even far worse garbage dump full of dead and dying people than it already is.

Hey! If Trump pulls this off, do you think there's any chance that the same bunch of hyperliberal, servile asslickers who gave Idiot Obama a Nobel Prize for doing NOTHING, might give Trump one for ending the biggest threat to world peace since the fall of the Soviet Union...?

    Yep, things are good.
Afghanistan is going in the tank, Iraq is almost a part of Iran, Pakistan is crawling in bed with China, Korea teeters on the brink of war, we are about to start a trade war, and in a few months we will cancel the agreement that is keeping Iran from building nukes. Oh, and Syria is now a Russian ally.
If he strides any faster he can lose Europe. oops!

    ,

Except for failing to recognize the latest biggest threat to world peace, the re-rise of a dangerous Russia... We can call it a wash, although Russia always has and always will be more dangerous than NK....

North Korea has been willing to talk for 20+ years. Previous administrations thought of a face to face negotiation which would validate the North Korean regime should occur at the end of a negotiation process, after North Korea has made a series of concessions - not the beginning. Trump's negotiation position is extremely weak compared to Clinton the first time around and Obama in regards to Iran.

North Korea already has nukes and ICBMs. The amount of knowledge we have about their facilities and weaponry is minimal. We do not have the full cooperation of the global community. There have not been any behind the scenes negotiations or preliminary agreements between the countries. Trump has not made any declaration about what he would consider to be the goal. And now, we don't even have a ****ing secretary of state.

But yea...if Trump can manage to de-nuclearize North Korea despite all of those weaknesses, then yea, I'll support him getting the Nobel Peace Prize.
