What does this have to do with the justice system? Trump and company are the ones abusing our courts to keep this quiet.
Honestly we went through the same stuff with Bill Clinton. Now there's more social media so it seems bigger but it's pointless. All of this happened before Trump was even in politics so it's just even more useless. Left still throwing that massive temper tantrum from getting owned in the election.
Trump has been in politics for a long time. He ran for President in 2000, and espoused his far left political beliefs all during the Bush Administration on fake news channel CNN. And he tried to buy at least two women's silence while he was running for President, including the one in the OP.
His use of NDA's on White House employees is further abuse of our legal system and will hopefully be found illegal, if not treasonous.
Did they sign the agreement? Did they accept any compensation from anyone? Please give us more details
With Stormy she did and knew what she was doing. The other lady has a case since she was signing an agreement to tell a story and not silence her. If she was aware of their intentions she likely would have never signed it. Other issues include intimidation and threats, as well as the same attorney for both women and Cohen's involvement with both. As for your comment about it being "before he was President", the NDA's were signed during the campaign and the use of NDA's have continued into his presidency in spite of the fact that they appear to usurp the sworn loyalty to the Constitution that federal employees take. Not to mention his own oath of office.
Fake conservative? I'll take it! As I'm more liberal than conservative in many areas (libertarian). I like 'faux' better
As a Bill Buckley conservative my entire life, I too have a wide libertarian streak. That's why I hate Trump so much.
US Conservatives then: "I profoundly believe it takes a lot of practice to become a moral slob." US [airquote]Conservatives[/airquote] now: "B-b-b-b-b-b-but Clinton!"
Trump is the epitome of a moral slob, and thus should be detested by every right-thinking conservative in America. Trump's a pig and a huckster. He is a liberal's parody of what a conservative is. Anyone who supports Trump has no clue what conservatism is all about.
I do not agree. Assume for the heck of it, what she says is true. She now prays to the court that the deal she made be nulified. She entered it, supposedly with good faith and she accepted compensation for performing an act. Now she expects a court to release her from her agreed up on obligation. I doubt a court of law will accomodate her. So she uses the public forums as a way to extort more money. That is also a legal tenant called unjust enrichment. She is not entitled to change her price no more than a car dealer is that sold you a car and you drove off with it. Then the dealer attempts to collect more from you later on.
That is the issue. For the legal system to work, she would have had to have proper legal representation. She was provided a lawyer who allegedly provided less than that to her just as he did in the McDougal case. That would likely implicate Cohen and Trump in the matter to deceive.
