    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/04/04/suspected-burglar-dies-tussle-pensioner-78/

The 78-year-old was held on suspicion of murder after the 38-year-old died of his wounds in hospital in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police said the struggle broke out after the pensioner, named locally as Richard Osborn-Brooks, found two men inside his home in South Park, Hither Green, south London shortly after midnight.

One of the burglars, who was armed with a screwdriver, forced the homeowner into his kitchen while his accomplice went upstairs.

Detectives believe a struggle then took place between "one of the males and the homeowner" and the 38-year-old intruder was stabbed in the upper body.

Wow ... one 78 year old defeated two men half his age.

    Sad outcome, but still!

After reading the title I knew it had to be in England where self defense is practically a crime in itself.

In Germany is for example prohibited to install CCTV cameras in houses due to 'personal rights' of criminals. The entirely crime in western countries is created and supported by liberals because villains tend to vote for lefts.

In the UK you are allowed to use sufficient force to protect yourself which may include killing another. What you are not allowed to do is take the law into your own hands and give them the death penalty which we do not have.

There isn't much information given on this but I would say when it all comes out either a mistake has been made or we as yet do not have all the information.

The Law is the Law and if the 78 year old was able to take on two lads in their thirties and kill one of them it sounds like he was more fit than most thirty year old. Like I said we need to hear what actually happened. Had he needed to kill one or both for his own protection that would not be murder. So, either the police have made a massive mistake or there is more to this that we need to wait to hear. Our law does not agree with vigilante courts and extra judicial killings.

There are good laws and there are bad laws, and one which gives more consideration to the law-breaker over the lawful citizen is patently a bad one, and needs changing urgently. Meanwhile punks and other scum beware!

Kangaroo Courts and extra judicial killing only belong to thinking of thugs and you do not even need to know what happened before declaring that you want people to give extra judicial death penalties to burglars.

Well extremism begets extremism, and that includes extreme liberalism (yes, there is such a thing and you're a part of it!) and it's time to re-set western values in favour of the lawful for a change.

I love the US gun laws - if someone were to enter my house they’d be dead and cops would do nothing to me.
That’s why burglaries are fairly rare in the US. If you go into someones house with bad intent you become a fair game to homeowner who is probably armed.

It’s in a place where teaching a dog to raise its leg is a criminal offense. What else do we expect?

Sure, for the same gun laws US has the highest rate of school terrorism, where teens come with the guns. Also for the same laws a person killed last year 50 people in Las Vegas. Enjoy your nice guns laws until the moment when someone kills you like a chicken.

Yeah I would advise against entering homes in Ohio for that reason. I haven’t met someone in this state yet that doesn’t own at the minimal a barebones AR-15 build. Most people have little armories.

Maybe you should make those gun free zones, so it’s illegal for them to have those guns on campus. Oh wait... the only people that can’t have firearms then are the law abiding, because signs are ****ing meaningless.

You don’t need AR-15 to defend your home. I have a 9mm handgun with a 17 round magazine. Fill both of them up and I can hold the 2nd floor in my house against an entire platoon. I’m thinking of buying my wife a small pink revolver. :)

There's just no way that this is true. I did a bit of research and there is nothing to support this.

You probably have more chances of being eaten by a shark over being shot at mass shooting in the US. While many of those shootings are preventable, I’d never advocate removing guns from population. Ultimately, it’s the best strategy against any invader - no army leader in their right mind will send their armies to try to control the US population - they’ll be shot at from almost every house they walk by.
