why do they have :mobile::phonecall: anyway? how did we get to this point in the prison system treating these:spin: rats as the same as us outside it, with goodies like this to help them on the outside running their drug trade and gangs.

if the prison system cant keep knives and cell phones out of prisoners hands ,what makes you think gun control will work outside the prison..:confusion:
are we really any better off outside the prison:eekeyes: safer or does the government want us to be like a prison, scared:eek: of our neighborhoods out of control and chaotic with little law and order and illegal aliens and gangs running amuck around us.:omfg:

The guards were outnumbered 35 to 1. Why should they risk their lives to stop murderers from killing other murderers.

Were cell phone allowed, or did they have to keep them in their prison wallets?

How many multitudes of times do you people need to be told? Gun control works in other countries. I am right now in a country with very strict gun control and very low crime.

I did not know that. I have an issue with allowing criminals to run their operation from prison. All communications with inmates should be recorded.

    It's covered in the article.

The prisons want the federal law repealed.

I wonder when that law passed. 2008-2016 perhaps?

Wow. I’d always assumed from TV series about prisons that cellphones were completely banned from all inmates. There’s no reason why any inmate should ever be allowed a cellphone, ever.

I didn't think cell phones were allowed in prisons because criminals and still run their gangs or order hits on prosecutors and judges. And unless things changed, I do know that FCC rules prohibit jamming cell signals, even in a prison.

Yeah, I didn't think cell phones were allowed in a prison. Who pays for them?

That's BS. I lived in the US for 51 years and never needed a gun. They are not needed for 'survival.' That's a ludicrous assertion. If you engage in risky behavior or go to dangerous areas, you have some threat, otherwise, you are far more likely to be hurt or killed in your bathroom by yourself than by a gunman.
