Your answer is that anything a president does in their off time or in their past history can open them up to blackmail. If that is your criteria we simply should never have a president then. Unless Jesus runs I guess. So the guy went to Russia to get peed on.....nobody cares except you lefties, if you wouldn't make a big deal about it then he probably wouldn't have to lie about it. Hell, if that was my fetish I'd be lying about it also and do you know why? BECAUSE I DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW
I think, in my case, what really makes me happy is giving foreigner happiness concern about something they have no vested interest in..
Obviously not anything, but that is beside the point. Making no assertion as to whether the "tape" exists I'm saying that sort of thing can compromise the POTUS if he fears it's release. Why you can't grasp that would be a mystery, yet it's the kind of blind spot all Trumpette's appear to suffer from.
So? There a million and one things any president or candidate doesn't want people to know about. What the hell is your point?
This might help. What if............President Clinton lied to the FBI director about a trip to Moscow during which a lewd tape was allegedly made, the possession of which gives Putin leverage over her and may be influencing her favorable treatment of Russia.
What if a foreign dignitary or secret service agent knew that he was cheating on his wife, wouldn't that open him up to blackmail? Isn't that why he lied about it to prosecutors, under oath? Should we have impeached him for that risk? I mean, how many people knew what he was doing to that intern? What if one of his bodyguards wanted to sell that information to Russia?
This has nothing to do with impeachment. The subject is whether it is the business of all Americans if the POTUS is making decisions based on the potential existence of compromising material that could be released to the public. I think it is, you think it isn't.
Same could be said of any president. I guess we should just get rid of the presidency thing huh? What if Michelle Obama had compromising things on her husband......should we have had to deal with that or is it different? What if Bush senior liked anal sex, and his wife said she would spill the beans if he didn't do this or that, guess he shouldn't be there either huh?
That's not all he got caught lying about. Trevor Noah said it's "mind-blowing" that President Donald Trump may have lied about his wealth in order to get on the famed Forbes list more than three decades ago. “If I was a Trump supporter, this new revelation would have me shocked,” Noah said on Monday, just days after an ex-Forbes reporter claimed Trump deceived him in an effort to get on the magazine’s first-ever Forbes 400 list. https://www.yahoo.com/gma/trevor-no...ps-entire-062603253--abc-news-topstories.html Lied about wealth.
Many RWers don't care about America. Only that the R party is in control. Course same could be said about some D persons also. Some are overtly blatant about their desire to put party over country.
You're comparing a wife withholding sex as a bribe vs a foreign power withholding dirt as a bribe? Can the wife bring down the country? Ask for special gov't favors? Wow.
Unlike yourself...I couldn't care less about skin color. What I care about is the integrity of our democracy
But when you do those "things" in a hotel wired to an adversarial foreign intel agency...you become "compromised"...which is...ya know....a problem
So some guy was informed by someone that apparently there is allegedly a tape somewhere? My sisters friend who dated a guy who went to college with a girl that dated a professor said this isn't true.
WOW! We are now defending such behavior on the part of our "president"? He isn't fit for the job if this indicates his morals and ethics.
