While I disagree with the racist idea of “white privilege”, the inequities in the US justice system stop us from becoming Reagan’s “shining city on a hill” and need to be corrected.

Companies have never been interested in excluding any particular race or gender from neither labour nor employment. All such legislation and regulation has come from the government and universities (that "justify" governments regulation with "science" be it "save the environment" or "some races are naturally dumb"). Let's not forget that.

Now, even in the harsh reality of "white privilege", there have been "privileges" for the "unprivileged"- for example, there was a time when jazz music was seen as "destructive" and even "dangerous" (justified with "sicence") and this created a vacuum which "unprivileged groups" could fill to satisfy the existing demand. There was even a time when comics were seen as "scientifically dangerous" and "privileged skin tone" (White male) cartoonists therefore would not work with it because it was stigmatised and thus that industry was - actually - dominated by Blacks and women.

Not sure if this has anything to do with anything, but I just felt I had to put this out there. Now that this is done, I as an "unprivileged minority" myself, can take on the test below.

I am not a racist ,so I do not see why that would even be in my interest at all.

Not if I wish to rent my housing since that market is heavily regulated by governmet. However, there are no "racial segregation laws" intact, so I would say the answer is still yes.

Being treated with respect is not a "basic right" that anyone is entitled to, so I don't even know what this means. However, I do know that the most "problematic neighbourhoods" are those inhabited by a majority of "unprivileged groups" (immigrant) and being a "privileged group" (native) there sucks.

Nowhere in the "privileged world" is this an issue. To the extent that it is, it is mostly within "unprivileged groups" where Muslim immigrants won't let their daughters and sisters go out alone and where Muslim immigrants willl follow Jews.

I don't see how this would be of anyone's interest because to me only soulless people who lack personality seek identification within their own group. I find role models in individuals not in collectives.

    What does this even mean?

Again, I am not racist, so this is utterly uninteresting to me. What matters is that the curricular material falls in line with my values, but from that I am - to some extent - prohibited from since education is regulated by the State which means that even "privileged groups" are excluded from enjoying this luxury.

    What?

If there is demand, there will be supply. Westerners - thank God - have the luxury of living under market economy.

Name one First World-country where this is the case.

    What does this mean?

There will always be stereotyping because man is a social animal.

    Of course.

No, because - unfortunately - people like you, who believe in this "pirvilege theory", will always do that. Just look at this ridiculous questionaire.

This questionaire just asked me to which is quite funny imo.

Name one First World-country where this would not be the case.

Luckily, "White Countries" have realised this is important.

Not if the "person in charge" happens to be of another race (duh). Who cares anyways? I asked to talk to the "person in charge" and not a "person of my race".

    Hard to know for anyone.

    I am not a racist, so I don't care.

Yes. Anyone who says they can't is a whimp.

Since people who believe in "White Pirvilege" are in charge, that is not a guarantee.

If I can get it, so can they. And, for the trillionth time; I am not a racist, so I don't care about this kind off collectivist suprematism.

    Yes,

Not until I took this test.

I am going to stick to my advice to my readers, and. Not argue with someone who is not realistic . You’re right, there’s no racism in this country ..you win.
What is sad is you have no concept of what it is like to be black nor do you have any concept to what it’s like to be a woman

What is sad is that you think being Black and/or female would somehow be different from being White and/or male - what you are doing is judging people solely for what is on the outside and that is what true racism and sexism is about.

and that's as far as I needed to read...what color is the sky in your delusional world...I've lost count of how many employers in my lifetime who have told me they refuse to hire people of color, women, various ethnic groups...

While I agree they should have the right to do so, they don't as part of the CRA 1964, Title VII.

Oh OK..there is no prejudice, silly me . When a black person is followed around in the store I am sure they are judging the person on personality. When a woman is paid less than a man for comparable work they are judging her not on her gender because there is no such thing as racism or sexism anymore Let me guess you are a white male who never experienced institutionalized racism or sexism

It’s wonderful when you have white male privilege that you can say that. I bet you yearn for the days when colleges and universities didn’t allow women, when Jobs were listed by gender, when blacks were segregated...all things you have no idea about. But mansplaning seems to be popular here

Ahh, evolution of racism. So now it isn't just "white privilege", it's "white male privilege". The prejudices just keep building. Sad.

They have been, for literally centuries. Read up on the diaspora. They've been treated like garbage everywhere they went, for the past 500 years. But they never EVER let it stop them succeeding. They almost always end up better off than those who sought to keep them 'in the laundry'.

Why do you think that is? If you don't know - I'm happy to tell you. It's because they believe that they are at the very least equal to, if not superior to, white people. Mostly they believe they are superior. When you believe that, there's no way in hell that your inferiors (white people) are ever going to be allowed to stop you from getting ahead. You will do whatever it takes .. and find a myriad of ways to work around the stupid bigotries and obstacles. The Chinese are experts at thumbing their noses at whitey, and demonstrating their belief in their own capacity to achieve whatever they want to achieve.

Oh, so it has changed from "same work" to "comparable work" now? Interesting. Anyways, the wage gap is ungrounded bollox and I have no idea what you are talking about when you are claiming Black people are being followed around stores.

No, I am not a "White Male" (boogeyman deluxe), I am a second generation immigrant, but you are right that I never experienced neither institutional racism nor institutional sexism because there are no such phenomenons. Only time I ever experienced "racism" has been when people with cultural authority (like you) try to tell me that I am "oppressed" because of my genes.

Trust me, you do not want to play the "privilege game" with my because me "privilege points" are nearly nonexistent.

You really think Asians never faced any racism? They just happen to be quiet and industrious people who value success and honour and thus don't walk around crying about being "oppressed" all day.

It has been said before, but it has to be said again; you are notoriously racist without even knowing it.

Yes of course Asians face prejudice, as do disabled people, old people etc But you just explained my answer ..you stereotyped them as quiet and industrious people etc. and as a result of that stereotype they are not discriminated against as a rule . They are stereotyped in a positive word. There is something funny about you calling me a racist. You don’t even understand the meaning of the word. You need my workshop

Forgive me, I thought you would see same work as a given..tried to broaden the term,
Interesting that you have no idea about black people being followed around in stores. Of course you don’t because you are not black. But yet you like to tell them what they think. It’s kind of like me telling you what it feels like to be kicked in the balls.
So I have to ask you were your immigrant relatives segregated? Did they have to sit on the back of the bus? Did they have to drink out of a separate water fountain? What the uneducated don’t understand, is because suddenly something becomes a law like desegregation, that suddenly the internalized message just goes away. No it will take generations.
I am trying to figure out your asinine statement at the end that people like me tell you that you are oppressed because of your genes. You white boys are privileged and have been throughout history

They don’t think they are superior....YOU THINK THEY ARE!
-We don’t tell ugly girls they think they are gorgeous. We only say that about pretty girls. We don’t tell dumb people that they think they are brilliant we only say that about the smart kids.

You didn't broaden the term, you made it more narrow. And truth is that the, so called, gender wage gap has nothing to do with discrimination and everything to do with personal choice.

It is not like there is a systematic, institutionalised problem of Blacks being followed around in stores.

I am not American, so no. Furthermore, it is important to remember that segregation had nothing to do with "White Consensus", it was forced onto people by government. The same entity is now doing the same thing again, except it is opposite - they are now pushing quotas because they believe competence is in the skin and not in the brain. Companies now are forced to hire in the name of "diversity" and the effects of that will be more sexism and more racism. Ironic, is it not?

I am not "White" in the sense your kind uses it. As I mentioned, both my parents are immigrants, none of them have any fancy diploma and I grew up in segregated neighbourhoods and went to segregated schools. The media over here is just the same as the one in the US, they use the same rhetorics that you are using - They talk about second generation immigrants being "unprivileged" simply because their parents happened to be born abroad. It is a narrative I absolutely detest because it victimises people like me and decreases our human value to only be something that is in our blood. It also gives the ones who misbehave (which there are a lot of) an excuse to misbehave. Absolutely appalling!

Not always and not only. Look at how Asians are represented in old cartoons, read about how Chinese immigrants were treated during the 'Gold Rush' and look at how they're always stereotyped as being "short and ugly dog-eaters". Do they care? No. They just do their thing. This is actually true for most immigrants, they do not care about your fancy academic rhetorics and fancy theories; they are too busy survivng and feeding their kids! Do you really think the single mother in Compton gives two craps about "intersectionality"? Those kind of theories are for snobby, White girls who live in fancy villas and sit with their fellow professors in the lunchroom of some fancy university, miles and miles away from the reality minorities live in.

I would not attend your workship even if I was paid to, no offense. I might be racist, but at least I am not afraid to admit it. Reality is racist (as in there are different races and different cultures), the only difference is that I don't rank people the way you do and that is - in my opinion - what true racism is about - Classifying people based on their skin tone and then rank them on a "Privilege Chart". :puke:

in a sense, "white privilege" does exist because we are given the benefit of the doubt and courtesy that many law-abiding black people are not.

Some think they are superior and Chinese culture, in general, is very ethnocentric and proud. I don't think there is anything wrong with this at all. It has, obviously, done them well. :)

There are some ugly people who think they are gorgeous and there are some dumb people who think they are brilliant though. :p

This one is a personal pet peeve.

Every time someone who fits into some special minority group accomplishes something, they get heralded for being the first from said group to have done that.

Why are we supposed to care what their minority status is? Why isn't it enough to applaud that individual's accomplishment? Why must we continue to identify and classify people by irrelevant and superficial characteristics?

It is purely institutionalized racism, or sexism, or whateverism.
