Bit confused so help me out here and tell me if I have this right.
You have a heavily fortified barrier separating two regions that are hostile to each other. And on that barrier are heavily armed soldiers who have a well documented track record of shooting anyone who comes close to that barrier. So your answer is to go up to the barrier, that has these heavily armed soldiers and throw not only rocks but Molotov Cocktails at them?
That gene pool needs a good dose of chlorine.

No. It is terrorism. Hamas pushes people to die so they can blame the Israelis. The press laps it up. The press also laps up shootings by cops but they aren't comparable in any way. The cops are the good guys. Hamas is the bad guys.

Either way, the protestors are unarmed. In any riots, unless they start carry AK/GUNS, MP/police use appropriate force, rubber bullet, tear gas, high power laser etc etc. Imagine if Mexican near border wall throwing rock and we send in sniper to shoot for kills.

by your logic if drug dealer pay some unarmed kids throwing rock at police hundreds away, the kids should get shot even though there are many non-leathal opitions.

Israel is defending its land from an enemy attack. The palestinians were warned. The Israelis made good on the warnings. Imagine the stupidity of those people obeying Hamas by putting their lives in danger. Terrorism, unfortunately, works.

I think Israel should be careful not to fall by accident into a one-state solution, something a lot of retired Israeli military leaders warn against. It's not my country, nor am I Jewish, so my only dog in the hunt is my friendships with Jewish people I've known for many years. Ad such, it really isn't any of my business, but I'm still concerned.

Many Palestinians would have gladly settled long ago and I feel sorry for them. They were pawns to those pushing a Pan-Arab ideology years ago, then post Pan-Arabism they've been pawns to religious zealots.

Most of the West Bank settlements are close to the Green Line and could be swapped for other land. Some settlements further inside the West Bank would have to go. I know some Israelis think the Palestinisns would allow the settlements to stay, but I have my doubts.

 

They're rushing the fence with the apparent intention of entering Israel if they can make it. Should the Israelis allow them to make it?
