Spousal benifits are currently on the chopping block in many states. Adoption. The ability to name our spouse on a birth certificate. The ability to not be discriminated against in education, healthcare, housing, or commerce.

Would you like me to continue?

You are stuck in the past. Times have changed. Partner benefits are everywhere, gays adopt. Birth certificates I don't know about, but if that's the only complaint there is nothing to complain about.

What planet do you live on? Schools and universities reverse discriminate with respect to LGBTQXYZABC. Housing, the same. Commerce, you must be living in a cave, people get fire for just the mere comment that can be even slightly misunderstood as being "anti-gay". Healthcare, the same.

Diversity (reverse discrimination) is all the rage.

I think you people just want to argue for the sake of revenge and hatred, and don't know when you have won.

That is just false, as of June 11th 2018: “Oklahoma and Kansas recently passed laws that religious adoption agencies do not have to work with same-sex couples if they don't want to. That's a law that's already on the books in seven other state”.

That’s 9 states that state funded adoption agencies can turn down same sex couples.
Texas is fighting to limit state employed spousal benefits to exclude same sex couples and several other states are considering similar legislation.

Last I checked there were no mandated protocols for admitting a disproportionate amount of gay people (nor should their be), but homosexuality is not a protected status in housing or employment. Furthermore several states, Tennessee I know for sure, has laws that openly allow medical discrimination against gay people.

You don’t know what you are talking about

Yes, there are still children starving to death in the world.

    That makes one of us.

On the contrary, the sort of equality you demand is nothing else.

A protected class means that that particular item can not be used as a reason to take action against someone. Its not a special right, it is looking at something that has historically been used by people to take action against someone. Now, if you support no protected classes, then I can understand being upset about a historically discriminated against group looking to find ways to protect themselves from discrimination.

And for the most part, all most of them want is the ability to do what they could do if their partner was of the opposite sex. They don't want to lord over others, they just want to ensure that they are able to live as most of us want to live.

My apologies, I thought context was enough. However, I was referring to the LGBTQ community.

Wow, 9 states allow religious freedom. That leaves 41 which kowtow to the LGBT fanatics. And you think LGBT's are discriminated against. LOL.

Most of us do not think LGBT have been and are discriminated against. We know they are and have been.

Now the question of whether sincerely held religious beliefs should allow someone to refuse to serve anyone is another one and far trickier. While there are fanatics on both sides, I believe that some sort of accommodation can be reached that the majority of people would accept.

Which still disproves your original assertion. I accept your concession.

They can't have any of that, because of the way they insist on living. You could just as reasonably demand a job as a lifeguard while refusing to get wet.

    Horse hockey.
That's because what they think they have is a sham constructed through the machinations of media whores and shysters.

The constitution is the law, marriage equality is the law, your views belong only to yourself.
Naw, people like you push us more towards equality than any other group. Why do you think gay rights approval increases 2%-3% year after year? Your efforts are greatly appreciated, please keep spewing your hateful ideology.

In the present context, batting .500 is a disgrace. Just sayin'.

For the same reason contempt for the law in general is increasing, obviously.

You'll lose your sense of "appreciation" sooner than you think, trust me.
