There are 5 FBI agents, a former director, and that directors former deputy that you can ask about the policing aspect.

She's retiring. So, she's taking the bullet for the rest of them. Perhaps she'll have the same orange jumper Martha had to wear...

It will be interesting to watch the response in the Courtroom of those Russians charged by Rosenstein for meddling in the election. Haven't heard much of that recently.

If it was all made up then all Trump has had to do is cooperate fully, indeed, he should be helpful, anxious to see himself exonerated and all doubt of his honesty removed. . Basically he is like someone who was seen running from a just-robbed jewelry store with a full bag and caught up to after running down an alleyway. Now he is protesting he didn't realize the uniformed patrolmen wene cops and Mueller has the smelly job of going through the adjacent dumpster looking for the swag bag.. "Hey, you can't look in there, I'm the President and order you to stop. Let's all go home, that jeweler (the American people, us ) is insured."

No doubt the showdown in the House on Friday is going to get Americans the transparency we're entitled to. I see no reason to retain the agents at all, let alone any justification for allowing them to hold sensitive agency posts that they've betrayed. We need to bring back public stockades and put these crooks on public display. MSM isn't scramblihg to pry the identities from the mouths of their "anonymous sources". Nor has MSM contrived any sinister theories that connect all the dots. The more biased the agent, the more deference media grants the accused. It's as enlightening as it is sickening.

Michael Horowitz, Christopher Wray testifying before the Senate

The IG report reads like it was compiled by someone who heeds Schumer's warning is scared to death of the FBI.

A few things that came out of the Senate hearing:
    • Comey may be in more trouble. Twitter personality and former FBI Director James Comey has been too busy gallivanting around to media appearances and book tours to make any appearances before congressional committees. IG Horowitz confirmed he is looking into Comey's memo leak to his FBI employee/"lawyer." Another report is coming.
    • Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) is interested in Comey's use of private email for agency business.
    • Wray said he will hold accountable "any employee for potential misconduct." The director said, "We will not hesitate to hold people accountable. We won't hesitate to throw the book at people who violate" FBI policies.
I'm not optimistic. I don't think Wray is the guy that's going to clean up the FBI.

The previously unnamed FBI officials — “FBI Attorney 2” and “Agent 5” — are Kevin Clinesmith and Sally Moyer, respectively, according to House Judiciary Committee member Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC), who revealed their identities over the objection of the corrupt FBI during a hearing on the IG’s findings.

The two were assigned to the bureau’s fixed Crooked Hillary email investigation, according to the IG’s report, while Clinesmith also later worked as a top lawyer on the Trump-Russia Witch Hunt.

Clinesmith sent a number of pro-Clinton, anti-Trump political messages over the FBI’s computer system, which the report said “raised concerns about potential bias” that may have impacted the investigation. Likewise, the report cited Moyer rooting for Clinton and bashing Trump during the 2016 campaign.

Meadows said the pair was among five FBI officials Justice Department IG Michael Horowitz referred for investigation after additional anti-Trump messages surfaced.

All five worked on the Crooked Hillary case, accounting for one-third of the 15 who were assigned to the "investigation." One was Dirty Peter Strzok, who was kicked off the special-counsel team last year and escorted from the FBI headquarters building Friday as part of internal discipline proceedings. He and his mistress, Lisa "Happy Horn-dog" Page, who left the bureau last month, also supervised the Trump-Russia Withhunt.

The IG report said Page texted Strzok in August 2016, after Trump won the GOP presidential nomination, fretting, “[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!”

“No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it,” Strzok replied.

Horowitz testified that the FBI was withholding the names of the other rogue agents from Congress and the public because “they work on counterintelligence” and can’t be exposed.

But Meadows argued that both Clinesmith and Moyer work for the FBI’s office of legal counsel, and are no longer in “counterintelligence,” as the FBI claimed.

“They don’t work in counterintelligence,” Meadows said in an exchange with Horowitz. “If that’s the reason the FBI is giving, they’re giving you false information, because they work for the general counsel.”

Horowitz confirmed the two worked in that office, which was headed by Trisha Anderson, who also recently resigned. Anderson also worked closely with Strzok and was married to a top Obama White House official. FEC records show she gave political contributions to Obama.

Moyer, in an Oct. 28, 2016, instant message, said she was “sick” of Trump and later called his supporters “retarded.” On Election Day, she said Clinton had “better win … otherwise i’m gonna be walking around with both my guns … and like quitting on the spot,” adding, “screw you trump.”

These bastards think they are unaccountable to the voters representatives and that they can fix elections and when that fails drive the winner from office. We need to fill some prison cells with a good number of these folks so that they recall that they work in a Representative Republic not an Administrative Dictatorship.

Wrong! Other wise the indicments mueller coughed up would have been Germaine to collusion. Treason, espionage, etc. not b.s rices crimes and lying to investigators. So the jewelry store example doesn't hold up.

If your hypothetical was trump and his asscioated being indicted on marijuana possession , statutory rape, and selling loose cigarettes when he was accused of robbing a jewelry store that would be more accurate of the situation.

Thanks so much, Zorro. Can't see how this 'Investigation' can continue now. This is impossible to ignore or wash away.

Don't hear much about the Huber investigation, but hope he's more thorough that Horowitz.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/29/att...uld-still-appoint-second-special-counsel.html

That he's working with Horowitz doesn't inspire confidence.

Horowitz strikes me as scared to death of the FBI, and according to Chuck Schumer, that's the smart take for elected DC. These crooks at the FBI think they are the fkn mob.

    Mid-November 2017:

The Attorney General has directed senior federal prosecutors to evaluate certain issues raised in your letters. These senior prosecutors will report directly to the Attorney General and the Deputy Attorney General.

Outside Prosecutor, John Huber, would be leading a team working in cooperation with Inspector General Horowitz, who does great with evidence, terrible with evaluation and summary.

    Sessions’ letter:

In addition to his ongoing investigation, the Inspector General has now confirmed that he has opened a review into the Department’s compliance with certain legal requirements and Department and FBI policies and procedures with respect to certain applications filed with the US Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

Congress created the Department’s Office of the Inspector General explicitly for the purpose of, among other things, investigating alleged violations of criminal and civil laws by Department employees, including actions taken by former employees after they have left government service. The Inspector General’s jurisdiction extends not only to allegations of legal violations, but also to allegations that Department employees violated established policies as well.

If the Inspector General finds evidence of criminal wrongdoing, he may refer it to a United States Attorney who can then convene a grand jury or take other appropriate actions. To be clear, the Inspector General has the authority to investigate allegations of wrongdoing, collect evidence through subpoena, and develop Cases for presentation to the Attorney General and the Deputy Attorney General for prosecution or other action.

The Inspector General also may, under appropriate circumstances, make information available to the public even if no criminal or disciplinary action is recommended. In contrast, this type of information would not normally be publicly available after the conclusion of a traditional criminal investigation.

We have reason to believe that at least one grand jury is already in place – see this March 23, 2018 piece, Goodlatte’s Subpoena, a Grand Jury Empaneled & Clinton Foundation FISA Surveillance.

It’s not just one individual Sessions is referring to:

I already have directed senior federal prosecutors to evaluate certain issues previously raised by the Committee.

I asked United States Attorney John W. Huber to lead this effort.

The Investigative Phase is mostly completed.

    Now comes the dissemination:
    • Phase I – The Clinton Email Investigation.
    • Phase II – Carter Page FISA Application.
    • Phase III – Russia-Trump Investigation.

It seems Sessions, as you said earlier, may still be on top of it. Then Trump must know about this so his complaints about his AG may have been 'fake news'.

Jason Chaffetz knows Huber quite well and has confidence in him, but that was also said of Mueller. who is a crook, and Horowitz. Huber seems to be playing cleanup.

Do you really believe there is reason for some of the investigators to be nervous, as you said of Horowitz?

Probably, they also never thought that they would be caught, or held accountable for their treacherous behaviors. This is exactly what liberal progressive government breeds. Contempt, affluence, entitlement, and in this case, seeming sovereignty over the people of the nation. It certainly is time that this breed of government service drone finds a new home where orange can be their new black....

Yes. What he has found is absolutely damning while his conclusions about it are parody.

This looks like more leak tracing is underway:

ABC RETRACTS REPORTING THAT PAUL MANAFORT PLEADED GUILTY TO MANSLAUGHTER.

ABC later tweeted a correction and apologized for the error.

“We regret and apologize for the false lower third graphic that aired during our special report,” they wrote. “We are investigating how incorrect information was in our system and how and why it was allowed to air.”

“There is simply no excuse for this sort of mistake,” they added
    .

I'd like to remind Trump's followers of the lesson of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf".

Credibility, once lost, is hard to regain.

By being open frauds and faking hundreds of conspiracy theories in the past, Trump's followers have lost all credibility. They can chant their new conspiracy nonsense back and forth to each other, but, based on past behavior, everyone else correctly assumes it's just more fraud, and doesn't even bother to read it.

Yes, the end stage of Authoritarianism is always collapse and bloodletting as no society ever has enough resources to both fuel the stealing by those in power and to run the machinery of the State.

We avoid this by keeping power in the hands of the citizenry and all power in our system is derived from the Citizenry. Our challenge now is that we have this evil infestation throughout our Federal Agencies that believes their power is in their academic credentials and their membership within the "progressive" movement. They believe it is their right to rig elections because they belie the only "moral" choice for government is them. They view the 2016 election as illegitimate because they believe Trump "tricked the masses" of the Electorate into voting for him by strumming our vile strings of racism and misogyny, therefore, they rejected the results and view themselves and tasked to drive him from office and failing that to stymy him until the situation can restored via the "election" of a "progressive".

For us the question comes down to, will we forever yield our power to these "progressives" or will we insist on our rich heritage of self-government?

Yup. I agree here. The danger to our privilege is the unwillingness of so many to involve themselves. That inaction is perceived as tacit approval of the unengaged in the power grab from the progressive authoritarian camp. Vigilance is what is required to ensure that our future and our progeny continue to live in a nation where the fewest exploit or abuse the rest of the nation's citizens.
