Germans even took all jewelry including religious symbols. Interesting in that when forensic analysis was done on the remains of those at Kantin Forrest enough of the skelitins still had Christian crosses. The Russians previously claimed that Kantin Forrest massacre was done by Nazis to Jews. Jews did not wear Christian Crosses. The purpose is historical judgment. Understanding what, why and how someone does something makes a difference. The same difference when judging a man who accidentally kills someone driving drunk and a man who hunts down his ex and her mother then shoots them both in the head.

Only difference is- Aztecs were sacrificing to 'Gods' and English were (essentially) sacrificing to the Gov't.

That's an outstanding point. Europe was hit so hard by the plagues that they lost population for three centuries. The European people that emerged from these three centuries of extreme testing were different from the european people that entered it.
