Don't know about everyone else, but the blame as I see it begins with Wilson in 1913, and most every politician, especially LBJ, who has promoted and enacted more and more social spending programs initiated by the Federal governments ability to create money out of thin air, constantly inflating the cost of living and the costs of governing.
Do some history research such as by using google and you will learn that the USA wasted TRILLIONS in the so called 'defense' {sic} budget over Soviet paranoia.
he didn't add 10 trillion in debt. But, what we got for the debt he did add (because of the republican caused recession) was a complete turn around from the worst recession in 80 years. UE under 5% from over 10%. Record high stock market. Most consecutive months of jobs growth of any US president in history.
There is no linkage of Bush to the recession nor is there to claim Obama turned it around. Obama had no way to hire millions of workers. So please, figure something else out. As to his Deficit, Obama ran his up from about 10 trillion to 20 trillion in round numbers. Good enough for me.
Did it include the research into how US military expenditure has stunted growth and harmed economic well-being (not just for the poor folk who were bombed for no apparent rationale)?
Bob Warth@BobWarth22 "The U.S. Federal deficit was $587 billion in Obama’s last year and it grew to $666 billion in Trump’s first year" The deficit this year (fiscal 201 could come close to if not exceed $1 trillion.https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckjones/2018/02/09/trumps-federal-budget-deficit-1-trillion-and-beyond/#6d7b36c6544f … 8:00 AM - Jun 29, 2018 Trump's Federal Budget Deficit: $1 Trillion And Beyond There are very different views between the Trump administration and non-partisan organizations on the trajectory of yearly U.S. deficits. forbes.com
Uh, other than reality of course. Obama has the record for most consecutive months this of jobs creation of any US president. He did not increase the debt by 10 trillion. Facts are a bitch.
I am sure had you FACTS you would have brought them. Obama owned his share of disasters given you give him credit for work performed by millions of others. https://www.thebalance.com/deficit-by-president-what-budget-deficits-hide-3306151 President Barack Obama President Obama had the largest deficits. By the end of his final budget, FY 2017, his deficits were $6.690 trillion. Obama took office during the Great Recession. He immediately needed to spend billions to stop it. He convinced Congress to add the $787 billion economic stimulus package to Bush’s FY 2009 budget. This added $253 billion to the FY 2009 budget. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act added another $534 billion over the rest of Obama’s terms. In 2010, the Obama tax cut added $858 billion to the debt in its first two years. Obama increased defense spending, adding as much as $800 billion a year. Federal income decreased due to lower tax receipts from the 2008 financial crisis.
Obama did not add 10 trillion to the debt. Obama has the record for most consecutive months of jobs growth of any US president in history. Did Obama add a bunch to the debt? you bet. Cleaning up republican piles of **** is expensive. But Obama didn't add to the debt anywhere near what bush did, or Reagan in terms of percentage.
Trump's first year's budget is inherited from Obama. The fiscal year budget begins in the October before Trump was elected.
Not only that, but much of the deficit spending is the result of previous Presidents passage of Social spending programs which are a part of the mandatory budget. Think FDR and LBJ for much of our ever increasing budgeting imbalances. And yes, I mean 'think' NOT 'thank'.
Dollar wise, no president was credited with more debt than obama. If Trump exceeds obama's debt, I will show my outrage.
The Federal debt at the end of FY 2016 was $19,573,444,713,936.79 On 20 January 2017, Trump assumed office with debt at $19,947,304,555,212.49 The Federal debt at the end of FY 2017 was $20,244,900,016,053.51 The debt had increased $671,455,302,116.72 $373,859,841,275.70 was added to the debt by Obama prior to Trumps' inauguration. $297,595,460,841.02 was added by Trumps spending of Obamas' budget. Until we have a Congress is willing to work with Trump on getting spending under control, there is not a lot Trump can do to reduce the debt/deficit spending.
Hey Trump - what you gonna do about that debt which grows every day? Funny how Trump's fan boys are suddenly silent about that debt ....
