    I wouldn't consider Germany an enemy so I didn't admit that. It's hard for a country whose defense is completely supported by my country to be an enemy of my country.

    It's just the US's tired of footing the bill for your defense so this is an effort to have Germany grow up a little bit and take care of themselves.

    I didn't say that but thanks for misrepresenting it.

    If Russia wanted to take Germany and if the US stopped defending Germany, Russia would just take it probably hardly shed any blood because there's no military. At least not a significant one

    I guess they don't teach economics in German schools. Pity it might have helped Germany out of the situation that they will soon be in.

    Germany is a failed nation. It can't stand by itself.
    Not militarily and not economically.

    So it seeks super national support.

    Better to give this to Germany through trade, than have them seek it through war.

    Britain, France and Germany are located in Western Europe. I would still like to know where Germany would get it's energy source from if Russia decides to close the pipeline if not from the US?

    Russia already has nukes. And energy resources. How can a country be more superior to another if they have to rely on someone else to provide them with energy? Russia has Germany on life support.
