I am not sure why we are talking of sanctions against Germany since none are in the works

You are seemingly unable to differentiate between what you think socialism should be, and what it actually was.

Your ideal of socialism doesn't produce the results you are expecting.
It produces the results you have described above.

    That is socialism.
Sorry you thought it was going to produce a different outcome.
    It doesn't.

    It's been tried mate.
    Many many times.
And the results... the worst results in human history.
Learn from it, or be doomed to repeat them.

Good grief. Socialism is collectivizing the means of production. Period.
You're babbling. Socialists collectivize production; fascists do not. In fact, fascists typically gather support from capitalists who fear their assets will be confiscated by the socialists.
One of us is an economist who knows why socialism fails, the other someone who struggles to understand what socialism is.

Fascists collectivised the means of production.
Through nationalisation or syndication. Workers co-operatives.

That was their aim, their goal and their policy. Explicitly, in their own words "Socialism".
How successful they were in it, is for you to judge.

Both of us know what socialism is. One of us in denial about who the socialists were.

Fascists were famously anti capitalists. Jew Bankers were the first to go.
The capital in fascist country's was typically appropriated by the state. Banks, corporate profits, private wealth, gold teeth etc.
Industry was collectivised between the workers.

If you wish to claim that they were unsuccessful socialists, that could be a position worth arguing, but to claim there were not socialists, is simply a denial of history.
National Socialism. Not, National Corporatism. Not, National Capitalism.

You maybe have studied economics, but your history is very weak.

The UK is crazy to get out of the EU. A "soft exit" will essentially leave them in the EU without fully participating in the services sector and without a say in EU policies. The "hard exit" will make them the only major western economy without a trade agreement.

Trump wants them out of the EU, but it's obvious he'll drive a hard bargain once they're vulnerable. Of course, Trump wants a "hard exit."

We want out from the EU and not in with the US.
We aren't looking to swap masters. We are looking to leave the EU.

The EU treaty doesn't cover a lot of the service sector. If it had of done the UK probably wouldn't have sought to leave.
Because it doesn't, our banks and financial services can't compete evenly in the EU countries and as our primary export, this a problem for us that results in a large trade deficit.
This has always been the carrot the EU has dangled in front of the UK's nose. But they won't deliver it. Ever.

We have accepted the free movement of goods in return for the free movement of services....but paid our end in advance and their end never materialised.
    As per standard UK/EU deal.

Does it occur to you that they did both?
Followed their ideology where they could and political expediency where they could not.

That wanting to live in an ideal socialist state is not the same as being able to?

You cannot seem to grasp the difference between the ideal and the reality.

You understand the ideal. The history of Fascism is the reality of implementing that ideal.
You try to enact socialism and what you get is Stalin's Russia and Hitlers Germany.
Not... the land of Marxian enlightenment.

That Fascists were known to have behaved in non socialist ways does not mean they weren't socialists.
    It means socialism doesn't work.

    Communists had the same problems.
They couldn't get it work and all the little socialists cried "it's because they weren't true socialists".
Bur they were true socialists It's just that socialism is a flawed ideology. Sounds good but doesn't work in practise.

Well the US is going to win a trade war with Germany. It will be up to Germany to garner relations if they so choose.

Our economy is in an economic boom and grows even faster now. Ee get business from china which they pulled away from USA. Whats your plan? Run our economy hot until we reach production limit?

I asked you a question. How do you plan to improve relations with Germany?

You do need to. Your country already is in bad shape and rotting further away. You have no allies left in the world. And you inly hold 20% of workd trade. 30 years ago it was 70%. Thats why we simply put counter tariffs on you and block evry demand. You are too weak and governed by an idiot. Our next target is google. We will split it in Europe :)

Its amusing to see your russian president destroy your country.

In 2 months i have my australia vacation. I doubt american rookie cops can afford that. Your poverty makes me sick.

A trip to Australia is affordable for most Americans. It’s just that Australia and the US are so similar it makes no sense to go. Their beaches are known for shark and saltwater crocodile attacks, lots of creatures that can kill you in an instant, all of that to see pretty much the same thing you see in the US.
When you come back you’ll probably admit that I was right.

Look at the graph. It explains why we're not as important as we once were. You might note China and the EU are in negotiations to maintain their trading relationship in the face of Trump protectionism. Guess who won't be at the dance.

You're just another a Trump worshipper who doesn't know a "New York con" (what Michael Bloomberg called Trump) when he sees it.

No, most Americans can't afford a trip to Australia. Income distribution in this country leaves people at the bottom poor.

I just did a quick search for a flight from Chicago to Sydney in October. The cheapest one I found was $1,005 for a round trip.
You call that not affordable? To me, that’s cheap. There is just nothing I can think of doing there on arrival outside of a trip to Australian outback.
