    The cause is irrelevant.
Your gun laws did nothing to stop it

What, gun owners are incapable of defending themselves at night?

Honestly? So what do you suggest should have happened? Like we keep saying, we have gun regulations we are not disarmed. Do you think the 4 children (autistic) should have been armed, and the grandmother, maybe all grandmothers should be armed just in case Pa has a breakdown and flips out. Then instead we could have a shootout. Grandma behind the lounge, the kids at doorways, grandpa comes in guns a blazin.

Now of course when you want to terrorize people into believing you have the answer, you use the most bloodthirsty horrific images. So if grandpa couldn't get a gun, well an axe, hmm wonder why they didn't say chainsaw, maybe a bit far fetched. I mean what a stupid response.

If grandpa couldn't get a gun, maybe he would have used poison, or CO2 poisoning, if you could say better in these sorts of things, these would be that. Maybe .... He wouldn't have done it at all. Now I wouldn't even bring the gun debate up, but someone else did. I agree totally with Duretic, but then WTF would he know, umpteen years as an Australian police officer who has worked some of Australia's toughest beats, how could he know more than some NRA lackey keyboard hero in the USA?

In the US I would agree, it's the culture that needs to change

It's illegal to murder someone here. But it happens. It would be good if no laws were broken by anyone at any time. Unfortunately that's why we have a criminal justice system, because laws are broken all the time. The law broken here was the prohibition on murder. No laws were broken regarding firearms possession. The salient law is the prohibition against murder. There is no connection between firearms control laws and murder in this case.
