We've all heard "They" said this and "They" said that
and lived to see it to be true or in my case, not true.

    Can they be trusted?

    "They" are always saying something.
"They" always think "They" have all the answers.

"They" cannot be trusted, because "They" pander to the masses.

Not always. Sometimes they are the silent majority but sometimes they are just a loud minority.
(I'm thinking that the silent majority are a more reliable indicator of trustworthiness).

Cholesterol in the mouth becomes cholesterol in the blood.
About the worst, "They" said I can think of.

Those who said it first, those "scientist" certainly took 1 year of Biochemistry
and would know you make cholesterol out of thin air and into Vitamin D, many hormones, parts of cell membranes, etc. - we are cholesterol. Somewhat.

Excretion of cholesterol is via rough course, difficult to digest foods.
Fiber leaches cholesterol out of the gut membrane and into the out flow. Some pharmaceuticals are "fiber pills".
Fats stimulate bile flow and bile is a means of excretion for cholesterol and other fat soluble waste.

And the substitutes "They" recommend for those bad, cholesterol laden foods are fast absorbing carbohydrates. Bread brown or white doesn't matter. Pasta.
How long would 300 calories of greasy bacon and eggs feed you? Hours.
How long would 300 calories of Special K and non fat milk feed you? Minutes.

And then there were those cholesterol free trans unsaturated fats.

And then there is the toxins and heavy metals in lower cholesterol fish. Not good in pregnancy.

"They" really screwed us with their cholesterol theory.
And created lots of "They" parrots too.

BTW it has never been demonstrated that cholesterol in the mouth becomes cholesterol in the blood.

Not sure why, likely the weed, but that called up a joke in my mind.

Anyway, yeah, many things start being digested upon entering the mouth, (Giggity).

They also say, not all wiggleie things in the mouth, are tadpoles...

    "They" promised rain.
Mandatory evacuations in the burn areas where mudslides happened before.

Now they are making excuses for a rain fizzle.
Although it did add snow to snow lands, the coast got cheated. Mis-predicted.

    Just another example that
    "They" Cannot Be Trusted!

Now more than before, the question remains

    Can "They" be trusted?

The lapse in civility these last weeks indicates "No!". Si?

    Another example of
    How They Cannot Be Trusted.

    http://politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/leadership.537367/#post-1069346482
"they" ask me to conserve electricity or water
and when I do, they add more users to the same sources.
Then they ask me to conserve again and again while new development permits are
benevolently granted here and there like deja vu all over again, repeatedly.
Epiphany: Conservation is a sucker's bet!
Use as much electricity and water as you can afford.
If we can really stress the system, "they" will have to do proper growth planning,
considering water, electricity, roads, schools, etc.
Remember, Can "they" be trusted? They have played me a fool conserving for them.

Please define "They" and only then can I vote. As you've presented the poll question, I have absolutely no idea what I'd be voting for....

It is slightly possible but almost absolute that they are being truthful in their dishonesty, so no they can indeed be trusted.

    You want the truth?
In a plutocratic world, you cannot handle the truth.
They would have to end your existence.

How many times have you read here "on Board"
    "they say" and such.
And you claim not to know who "they" is. Sure.

Fine. Don't vote. Informed voters are preferred.
Last I checked all voters know, "They cannot be trusted".

    They.

Are "they" the Left, or the Right? Do "they" support law, order, and the Constitution (assuming "they" are Americans?). Are "they" essentially decent, fair-minded people, or are "they" so full of hatred that "they've" become dangerously irrational? That's why I've asked who "they", in the context of this poll, actually are. "They" may be one thing, or, "they" may be something else altogether. Thus, "they" may be people I agree with strongly, or, "they" may be of a kind that are abhorrent to me. "They" may be people I couldn't care less about at all....

So, WHO ARE "THEY"? If we can't identify who "they" are, we're stumbling in the dark and wasting time on a rather vacuous, pointless poll-question.... :lonely:

I have expressed/defined "they" as best I can.
It is up to YOU to connect the dots.

    Per your reply -
One consideration you might entertain is
"They" keep us fighting left vs right,
when nothing really changes when either Left or Right take power.

"They" are not "us" nor "me".

    What part don't you get?

Of course YOU would rather be on the side of "They".
    It's natural. The Bandwagon effect.

Just look at the Science thread for so many "They say"
opinions by those who don't know an iota of science beyond some
Science News or Science Digest or Science newspaper article
and lack the education & aptitude to think it through. aka Parrots.

Did YOU just vote "Yes"! :angered:
It has been 100% No for so very long, now never to be achieved again. :sniff:

"they", no matter which "they" you are talking about, can always be trusted to work in their own best interests. you can trust them if you want. you may get lucky and find that their interests and your own coincide, but it's a crap shoot. only one thing is certain when considering "they". when "they" tell you that "they" are acting in "your" best interests, "they" are LYING.

I'm proud to say I voted on the winning side of the argument. I'm also proud to know that I'm eating from the 3 basic food groups; meat, chocolate, and coffee. But just to balance the odds, I also eat a dose of carbs, fruits, and vegetables.

Early on, "they" said that margarine was the healthier choice. What a fool's gold that was!

    "They" can never be trusted.
