How do we stop the violence in Chicago?

What are the make up of these gangs? How many are MS13? Are any due to sanctuary city policies?

There are narrowly taylored arguements that suggest legalized pot reduces opioid deaths

But that is far from the whole story

Just one example from the report:

Section 1 – Impaired Driving:
• Traffic fatalities involving operators testing positive for marijuana have increased 100 percent from 2007 to 2012.
• The majority of driving-under-the-influence-of-drugs arrests involve marijuana and 25 to 40 percent were marijuana alone.
• Toxicology reports with positive marijuana results for driving under the influence have increased 16 percent from 2011 to 2013.

 

I suspect the border is where much of the pot in inner cities is coming from

 

Where its sold in small bags at street level at a high bulk/value ratio IE there's a whole lot of it and its mostly worthless if you're talking mexican dirt weed.

People pay for good weed, and it doesn't come from mexico. It comes from small indoor grows, and more recently from legal states.

Sure...and you think the government can do a better job? Oh, that's right, the government either enables the failing parents by giving "free" money for failure. Or if it gets really bad, the gov can take the kids away and put them in a rapist foster home. Good job government on failing many kids after their parents failed them first.

All I know is that my brother is thinking of turning the leaf into mulch. When it became legal in CA, everybody planted a few plants and now nobody knows what to do with it. He's actually taken to growing tomatoes instead of weed because he can actually use tomatoes, and he ran out of ziplock bags to store the bud. After visiting him, I went to my sister's house and her husband has the same problem.

It was a novelty at first, but now it's a question of what to do with it all.

 

As it turns out, I have a few thousand of them with prepaid postage and my address on them.....
