We could rectify this situation by setting alimony to a set amount, that would still be a hefty amount for the poor, but wouldn't be too much for a woman who's middle class.

Then create percentage tax breaks for those taking care of a child. Not a fixed amount tax deduction.

And no greater tax break if it's more than 2 children. Maybe a 5% tax break for one child, a 7% tax break for two. Start incentivizing middle class people not to avoid having children.

In Singapore the government was very concerned about the potential for IQ levels in their society falling over time, and were handing out free color TVs to any college-educated woman who chose to have children.

Eugenics is not economics, it is fascism.

Stop robbing the middle class through income taxes to support the poor who don't pay income taxes?

Typically the poor face the highest effective marginal rates of tax

In what they buy, not their income. This is a choice by the poor. Many essentials are also not taxed. Those who pay the most in taxes are the rich.

No, in terms of how taxes and benefits interact (ensuring that they pay the highest marginal tax rates). Let's not play pretend

No, I get it. The poor spend every last dime they "make", and so there for their expenses equal however much taxes on goods and services they chose to spend on. While the rich and middle class typically save or reinvest their money and there for only what they chose to spend is taxed in sales. Its a personal choice. The poor don't stay poor because the evil man deems it so, they stay poor through their own choices. Sales tax is an oxymoron since its not the seller paying the tax, but the purchaser. And the taxes on gas which go ever higher, giving the government more in revenue than what the oil companies make in profits. The 5 separate taxes on your phone bill. And so on and so on. People are given the choice to not pay so much in sales tax you know. Also, lets not pretend the poor are spending their money they earned, its money they've typically been given.

You obviously don't get it. It is about interaction of tax and benefit systems (thus the use of the term 'effective' marginal rates of tax). It has nothing to do with personal choice.

It's just common sense population control.

Why do you need all those kids?

We just need common sense feral human control.

You know, background checks before you can have a kid, 2 kid minimum, every kid you have reduces your welfare payments, stuff like that.

We could have a spay and neuter campaign to cut down on stray humans maybe.

I'm sure you're being flippant, but its a shame that fascism is on the rise and America is leading on it.

From a country that doesn't have freedom of speech and is trying to enact butter knife control, that was really funny.

    thanks for the laugh.

You think American fascism is funny? That's a little worrying.

I think a fascist country that protects criminals and confiscates butter knives is complaining while aloft on their own petard.

LoL are you guys going best of 5 on a Brexit vote?

You seem to struggle with thread topics. Didn't an alarm bell ring when you failed to condemn fascist eugenics?

Oh I know exactly where I am, you're the one who changed the subject so maybe you should stop complaining so loudly.

I have no problem with people having as many children as they want. They're welcome to go have 10.

What they're not welcome to do is use my money to pay for them.

I'd chip in for a spay and neuter to keep the strays out of my neighborhood though.

So you condemn the use of tax systems as part of eugenics?

Maybe if you quoted my who post like you're supposed to you'd know.

Tax money should not go to people for any bad decision they make. That would be the best way to cut down people making bad decisions, as well as let nature take it's course with bad gene lines.

You might be more careful on the internet.

Wouldn't want you to be the 4000th person arrested for saying things on the internet this year.

    Hate speech violations and all.

You think disagreeing with fascist eugenics is a hate speech violation? Wow, its worse than I thought!

Let's find out. I'll forward your comments to the authorities and let them decide if your speech is acceptable to the state.

Please do. It would be interesting to know whether your authorities believe fascist eugenics cannot be disputed.

Thanks for showing your true colours mind you.

I'm sorry, but I have freedom of speech. They can't arrest me for having an opinion, unlike your fascist, dull knife confiscating country.
