Catholic Pedophiles in Pennsylvania: What to Do?

Another massive scandal uncovered in Pennsylvania. The more I read about religion, it seems to be a pathetic scam.
1. End tax exempt status for these perverts and all other phony religions.
2. Only 2/300 of the cases are prosecutable due to statute of limitations. Pretty sick that many will get away with it. They should post all of their names online.

I dunno. Imagine an organization devoted to developing wholeness in people, while mandating its leaders be all male and with not sexual acts with human partners. I can see how the Catholic Church evolved, but that doesn't mean it evolved into something healthy. It beats ignorance poverty and a social order of street gangs, but still...... LOL

 

They have posted most of the names online. There are a handful that haven't been.

The statute of limitations expiring meant that those cases happened decades ago. Yes, it's horrible, but those incidents were over a period of 60 years or so. Only 2 happened in the last decade.

How do you determine a "phony religion"?

 

They go in jail, someone messes up and accidently lets the other prisoners know who they are and problem solved.

 

I was raised Lutheran so Catholics were already the "bad guys". LOL

 

I mean artists have literally written about child abuse from Hollywood types in their songs. We also need to clean out the public school system as its rife with child molesters as well.

The Catholic Church does have some rather horrible stuff in its history, but shutting it down might be overdoing it. Maybe all public institutions (churches, schools, clubs, businesses) should be required by law to report any complaint of sexual abuse to the police / authorities or risk being closed down or other appropriate penalty.

I would say it is time for the church to allow priests to marry before it loses its congregation. As to the abusing priests, they should be put into the criminal justice system like any other abuser.

The highest good is helping and not harming others. Religion can go the way of the dinosaur. We don't need it.

 

Did catholic leaders break any laws to protect pedophiles? Throw the book at them and let the victims sue the church. My wife had cousins who were abused by a priest. Their lives were all screwed up. It was a bad deal, even after suing them.

 

One thing the third world's got going for it is these guys would be rounded up and disappeared. I don't just blame the RCC but also a disinterested government.The numbers speak for themselves, this could not happen and continue to happen without the government looking the other way. I suspect there's a large coterie of these sick SOBs everywhere who work in concert and support each other. I'm in favor of a federal death penalty for first time offenders. This sort of abuse goes around and around in an endless cycle of abuser, victim, victim becomes abuser, it has to end somewhere. Treatment has proven to be ineffective and confinement would have to be without parole, I would opt for a more certain, permanent and effective solution that by attrition would ultimately end the problem.

 

This is kind of good news. The Catholics are the largest religious group in America at around 25%. The second largest group are the nones at around 22%. If this sparks more people to leave the Catholic Church, non-belief stands to become the largest religious group in America.

 

i would say it is time for church leadership to go to the big house for their role in enabling a global boy buggering conspiracy.
