DNC FINALLY BREAKS SILENCE ON KEITH ELLISON’S DOMESTIC ABUSE ALLEGATIONS. HERE’S WHAT IT SAID

• The DNC is “reviewing” domestic abuse allegations against Minnesota Rep. and Deputy DNC Chairman Keith Ellison.
• Ellison is accused of abusing his ex-girlfriend, Sierra Club activist Karen Monahan.
• The DNC should have suspended Ellison “at a minimum,” according to the former DNC communications director.

After more than 72 hours of silence, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) weighed in Tuesday evening on domestic allegations against deputy chairman and Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison.

“These allegations recently came to light and we are reviewing them. All allegations of domestic abuse are disturbing and should be taken seriously,” the DNC said in a statement to NPR.

The DNC’s statement didn’t go far enough, according to former DNC communications director Luis Miranda.

The NPR story went live just hours before polls closed in the Minnesota primaries, where Ellison easily won the Democratic nomination for attorney general.

Ellison’s ex-girlfriend, Sierra Club activist Karen Monahan, has accused him of physically and verbally abusing her during their relationship. (RELATED: Liberal Women’s Group Demands Ellison Resign From Congress, Drop Out Of AG Race)

Monahan has said she has a video of Ellison dragging her off of a bed and yelling expletives at her, although she has yet to produce the video. Ellison has denied her accusations and claims the video evidence doesn’t exist.

Monahan’s son Austin first aired the allegations against Ellison on Saturday and claimed to have witnessed the alleged video of Ellison’s abuse.

“I was using my moms computer trying to download something and I clicked on a file, I found over 100 text and twitters messages and video almost 2 min long that showed Keith Ellison dragging my mama off the bed by her feet, screaming and calling her a ‘****ing bitch’ and telling her to get the **** out of his house,” Austin wrote in a viral Facebook post.

“Sitting all this time, watching what our mom went through and not being able to say or do anything was hard as hell. None of you know the hell our family has gone through. I don’t think half of you would even care,” Austin added.

“We watched her so called political friends stand by say or do nothing. People had an idea what happened and never reached out to my mom. The same people who are posting about social justice are ready to smear my mom, protect a person who abused her and broke the law.”

Looks like the DNC can no longer ignore these charges against its chairman.

Hopefully the victim and her family are safe now.

And if it comes out that her "political friends" knew about this and said and did nothing-that should be examined as well.

DNC leadership has long been known for its corruption (rememer wiki leaks?)

Perhaps its time to clean house.

 

DNC should vet people better, but they were blinded by their Identity Politics.

He's a Muslim and his skin is Brown. That covers their bases, and nothing else important to consider.

Omarosa tells a story and it's wall to wall coverage.

To be honest, I'm willing to give ellison the benefit of doubt until more proof comes in. But that doesn't mean the left should suddenly change their #metoo stuff and completely blow her off, even Clinton said abused women need to be believed. In this regard the left is ignoring their own standards.

 

If the victim is black, then its just black on black violence, and we all know how the media treats that. If the victim is not black, then its inter-racial violence in which the perpetrator isn't white, so the media will ignore that as well. Plus Ellison is a Muslim, and that's a protected group, so don't expect much out of this, liberals will ignore it until it goes away...

I don't think they can ignore this much longer-and its a shame the victims poor kid had to find footage of the assault.

 

They'll ignore it, and find something else to air in its place. You act as though the media has some level of integrity, they don't, that should have been obvious by their shameful actions since election day 2016...

 

What sticks out to me is the kid said he clicked on a file on his mom's computer and all this stuff popped up. I'm not sure it that's believable without a further explanation. Did the mom keep copies of all her texts and videos in a folder on her desktop? That would be strange. And if true, was she going to blackmail ellison with it later?

I need more details and can't go sleuthing without them.

 

I suspect at the top, democrats all have files on each other.

Will be interesting to see what the DNC "finds".

No one's so far defended his religious freedom ... Islam ... sharia ... says subjugation, punishment of uppity wives is permissible ... encouraged essentially.

 

If you want to see Keith Ellison explode, don't ask him about his affair while he was married, with Monahan, ask him about the 911 call from Amy Alexander over his physical abuse of her in 2005. Like Franken, this guy has little man syndrome and his out of control temper is widely noted.
