Longer than that. Try fortyear. I just invented the word 'fortyear'. Not really video games for years, not at all, that captivity's been about a month now... but.............. IDK, I don't really go out anymore if it's not to work. It's sad.
I quit roadracing about a year ago, nothing replaces the adrenaline of that. I've been training in MMA schools for 25 years, I'm currently a BJJ nut when I'm not lifting. I'm also heavily involved with a dog rescue org, I've been on the board and volunteer weekly. My girlfriend is russian, so I'm learning about a new culture.
Heh thanks much appreciated. It's a lot of fun and once you have your own gear it's super cheap. Now that winter is here though I think it'll be back to snowboarding for my outdoorsy exercise. A lot pricier though
Why do people like Runescape? I have not tried it, but it looks kind of primitive by modern standards. I've been hitting modded Skyrim pretty hard lately since finding out that Steam Play now supports playing Windows games on Linux directly.
I went to Warwick castle last month to see this beast in action. After chatting with the crew and explaining I had built a series of trebuchets they let me stand with them as it was cocked and fired rather than having to watch it from 100 yds away with the rest of the public.
I must confess that I know nothing about Ebikes except for what I've been told & read but they sound like a very versatile & practical way to get around.
Thanks for mentioning them. Yes, I looked at examples of his work yesterday afternoon and he is quite creative. My designs incorporate more hand forged elements & tend to be more traditional unless the client wants something especially eclectic (i.e. weird ). Actual blacksmithing involves shaping (aka forging) hot steel into scrolls, leaves, gargoyle heads etc with various hammers, chisels, punches, bending forks, forms etc that you make yourself. While Dylan's work includes parts that he has heated with a torch, I see few elements that have been hand forged via fire, hammer & anvil. I used to have a web site but let it go because I had more work than I could handle just by word-of-mouth business. Thanks again...
They're not a 67 SS Camaro Which as everyone knows is the only truly practical day to day run about if you get the 427 engine of course (7l)
My life was changed with the MS diagnosis and the active lifestyle once enjoyed and often taken for granted diminished severely. Part of my "New Path" involves an appreciation of the mind and desire to use it to full potential as well as the exercise of mental abilities and their growth. Forum interaction and internet research/reading have become a part of my new direction and understanding. I suppose this can be interpreted as "Having No Life" if someone wants to but I simply do not care....in this place I can trounce in a new way and have become quite skilled which gives me pleasure.
Certain health diagnosis have a profound impact on the direction of life, and while some may initially view it as sad, I view it as opening new horizons. Good luck to you, and may your horizons continue expanding.
Motorcycles. Ever been a track day kind of guy? Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, the greatest form of submission wrestling until Eddie Bravo improved upon it.
Even though I've wrecked 4 motorcycles, I was not involved in officially racing them. However, I used to race bicycles, road & Criterium, aka "Crashterium", boxed, wrestled & played football. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu sounds interesting but my current inventory of artificial joints, old military wounds, injuries and other misc. maladies currently prohibit more strenuous contact sports. Good luck & be careful.
The fact that you’ve wrecked 4 on the street and are still walking is incredibly fortunate! I’m a road map of injuries and surgeries , I hope yours is at least manageable!
Yes, I've been extremely lucky and would probably do much of the same dumb stuff over again if I were younger. I was also a paratrooper in S.E. Asia (Laos) during the Viet Nam War and later walked / hitch-hiked around the world including the Mid East only to get caught in the '73 War. Later, I helped deliver sailboats around the Caribbean, up & down the East Coast etc until I bought an old fishing boat which later sank with me on it. I later worked on an Emergency Psychiatric Unit for a large inner city & was only stabbed once. Many weird jobs later, I took up blacksmithing, have done that for over 20 years & currently have my blacksmith shop next to my target range but cancer & heart "issues" have slowed me down some. I'm sorry about your injuries & hope your surgeries were successful in allowing you to continue to do what you enjoy. I obviously believe in living life fully if not always wisely. It sounds like you do too. Best of luck & welcome to the forum
