Shows like 4 Corners, Foreign Correspondent, Catalyst and 7.30 are still very good for the most part, though they have their moments.

But things like The Drum and Q and A often get overloaded with pseudo intellectual left wing yuppies. Can be pretty painful.

Sorry, but I don't agree. Most of the ABC has a left lean, even those who try portray balance. While I am well aware of the far right lean of other media it, the left leaning public Such as the SMH and alike is clear demonstration of the ABC’s leaning. The way they deal with issues between the parties in the indication.
I obviously don’t agree with the claim of balance in the ABC, but clearly the right wing media played a great part in turning the approval of the smarmy git.

Was that before or after you gave away your natural gas?

YOU dearly need Australia First type leadership.
As do all nations. Themselves first, not Australia I mean ;)

The natural gas thing has been a progression and our trump's ideological father started it.

What we need at the moment is SOME leadership, I agree, but with a view that can encompass the world, not just Australia.

Take care of Australia First
and let the world benefit from spin offs and surplus.
Like your GREEN energy production and farming techniques.
Think of all those Black African nations that might benefit
and out doing China for Central Asia. Not as a focus, but as scraps off Australia's economic table.

BTW MRI's are a spin off of the aerospace industry.
Gaussian filters developed to clean up images from the Viking Landers on Mars.

POINT: The global benefits of an Australia First economy are unimaginable.

While some may worry about the health of pregnant women and young mother's in Papua, New Guinea, I ask how many Australian babies are born with cleft lip and palate?
Preventable with prenatal Folic Acid supplement.

    ;)

    Aust is not isolationist.
    1-minute read.
Oral-facial clefts are birth defects in which the tissues of the mouth or lip don't form properly during foetal development. About 1 in 800 children born in Australia will have an oral-facial cleft. The majority of children born with an oral-facial cleft have no other birth defects.

I think Aust women take folate to prevent Spina Bifida so cleft palate should be covered.
The point of non profit organisations is to do good without expecting a profit.

Crazy, Rich Asians would be a more appropriate title
    but it is from Melbourne

Mom defends spending $9,000 on son's 1st birthday party

An Australian mother has defended spending 12,650 Australian dollars (about $9,100) on a lavish first birthday party for her son, saying it was “money well-spent.”

Jackie Lam’s celebration for her baby boy, Lachlan, was so extravagant that friends and family even compared the day to a wedding.

And despite admitting the bash was “over the top,” the 31-year-old mom from Melbourne stands by her decision to go all out.

“Everyone’s perception of what ‘lavish’ is differs,” she told Be, Yahoo’s Australian outlet. “Perhaps my son’s birthday was ‘too much’ for some, yet maybe not to others.” .
    . .

I don't think anything can match rich Asians when it comes to vulgar displays of wealth.

Yes you have to be careful what you give your kids for birthdays, a father in the US gave his son a million dollars for his 21st once.

Wow with all the issues around this is such a non issue

Oh I disagree ,a Greek friend spent $20000 on his engagement party. He said that it was not unusual.

Could you consider the difference between a party for a baby and the celebration of an intended marriage to be different?
The Greeks do fabulous parties and the weddings!
They are certainly big extravagant affairs.

    Okay.
How about Australia & Dental Culture.
The Greatest State of California established a Dental School in 1887 and another in 1897
with a total population under 1 million.
Australia's first Dental School, 1920. before WW1, Australia had to import dentists.
    America's first Dental School 1828.

Notice mentioned was a total population of California under 1 million, compared to Australia
    Historical population
    Census year Population
    1760 1,593,625
    1770 2,148,076
    1780 2,780,369
    1790 3,929,214

Discuss. :D = :flagus: toothy smile

This is not "the babies party". It's a party for the parents to share the celebration of the first year of their child's life with family and friends.

And the other is to share the news of your son's engagement. They all include exhibitionism, networking etc. It's all a part of life, it happens at all walks of life.

At one party you get points for interesting stories about yachting, at another about who farts the loudest.

There is so much truth in satire ,it sometimes does take a caricature for us to see how big our nose is.

Mirrors lie, pictures of us don't. That's because we are the only one that sees our reflection, but we know anyone can see our image.

What we perceive others seeing about us is more about what we perceive of ourselves.
