Kavanaugh, Ford set to testify in Senate Judiciary Committee hearing

She's very believable, credible and invokes sympathy. Kav's in real trouble. She seems quite manipulated by her legal team, I do believe this experience happened to her, I see no real evidence that Kav was involved and I find it interesting that her legal team did NOT have her asked if Kav. was the person that did this in her polygraph.

She also testified that her legal team did not inform her that the GOP had offered to depose her in Palo Alto, which would have been her preference. I think she is a victim, being terribly exploited by her legal "representatives".

If Trump decides to pull the nomination after today, his next selection has to be a woman. I don't see how a man, any man, can survive the current gauntlet.

 

Oh I saw that one, but I did not think of that as an inconsistency. She was asked whether she provided the Post with all or parts of her medical record from the therapist and she said she could not recall.

 

As if this hearing couldn't be anymore of a charade than it already is. I noticed something was up with her aggressive nodding like 'yes please', but if that can be confirmed to be any sort of information, this hearing has lost any impartiality it could've pretended to have.

 

Dude, were talking about teens in high school dating, touching, ogling, leering, lusting and maybe groping other teens. There is no pedophilia involved, that's all in your head. Do you see Doc Ford at 56 groping Brett as a 16yo teen in your mind? Check that thought, its not reality.

Again, that is blatantly wrong and offensive.

You do not know nor do you get to dictate how someone should or did react to a traumatic experience. Some people might drown out their sorrows by drinking, some people might swear off alcohol altogether. Both are deeply personal and not at all within your purview or right to determine which is the correct response.

 

She's sympathetic maybe, but that's not how we judge believable(or at least, not how we used to.)

You're saying her testimony wasn't honest? I fully believe she went through something. Her testimony is compelling and she was open, honest and direct.

It's smart to feign fairness after being in an hysterical marathon hissysnit over Dr Ford, but it's beginning to look as if Turtle McConnell might just want to remain Majority Leader. Appointing a woman, Rachel Mitchell, for the old coots to hide behind was a wily move.

Republicans would avoid further outraging women voters, and an even more conservative female, Amy Coney Barrett, would not only pass muster, but spare GOP senators the "misogynist" label.

She may have went through 'something', but she hasn't been able to prove it was an assault, or that it was Kavanaugh, or even pinpointing specifically which House. What times? What date? These are the basics of ANY criminal investigation.

 

I don't think anyone has seriously and impartially reviewed the hearing. This woman's claims are no more credible, than they were 24 hours ago. No matter how weak and frail and feminine she looks on a camera.

 

Senator Richard Blumenthal lying on television right now. He says Republicans have "refused to interview Mark Judge." They did interview Mark Judge. Democrats refused to participate in the interview.

 

Riiiiight.

That is a delay in presenting allegations.

 

It's all aimed at Lisa Murkowski. If Kav holds Lisa, I think he gets 55 votes. If he loses her, I think he will fall short of 50.

Here is Swinestein and Murkowski huddled it he basement just before testimony starts.

 

The twitter post suggests Jackson Lee was handing her attorney a piece of paper(who hid it under his jacket). If that's say, Democratic questions(or even 'answers' to what they expect questions to be.) then this hearing's a farce. It puts into question Ford looking at all those notes.

 

At this point, I'm not even sure it's about those two... I think the rest of this day is about 1 person.... Senator Flake....

Remember that tomorrow's vote is NOT the full senate voting... just the judiciary committee.... The current status of the Committee is 11R/10D.... Would only take a single vote to send Kavanaugh to the full senate with a vote of unfavorable or no recommendation.

I wonder if McConnell will push for a full vote over the weekend in either of those cases??

The liberals might have wanted to leave the Kavanaugh nomination alone! If Trump pulls Judge K and pushes for this candidate before the end of this session of congress, watch out!

 

How do you know she was honest?

 

Because, Ms. Sexist, we already have her statement in written and in oral about the 'sexual assault'. She literally told us she can't provide anymore. There's not even a point to her being here now, let's hear Kavanaugh.
