Yes I said that a poor person who has access to birth control but chooses to not use it and then has an abortion is irresponsible.

Of course the same goes for a rich woman who has the same behavior.

But regardless...poor have access to birth control so there is another reason why they have so many abortions.

You said the "poor" have no sense of responsibility ( which is silly to say if they abort a kid they can't afford). You slammed the "poor", an easy target, while ignoring the FACT that they aren't the only women who have abortions.

No, for some poor women there is no easy access to safe, affordable, reliable, birth control.

There is the FACT that all birth control has a failure rate.

There is the BIG Fact that NO ONE is obliged to use birth control.

I said poor who have abortions. But yes I also said that generational poverty exists......where having babies and being funded by the government is a way of life. That is irresponsible. And abortion becomes an option for them as well.

That way at of life is a dead end and miserable. I'm surprised you think having abortions and having sex without birth control even when it is accessable is ok. It's not how I would guide my daughter because I care for her. Why is it ok to encourage an irresponsible lifestyle to strangers?

I would be surprised, too, to think I think having abortions and having sex without birth control even when it is accessible is ok...BECAUSE I never said that...

NOR did I encourage irresponsible lifestyles so you're wrong on both counts.

However, I do believe that people should be able to make their own decisions about BC and abortion....and decide for themselves what is or is not "responsible".

which they have done almost since humans first walked the earth so insulting and belittling them is just spitting into the wind...

I do think women have a right to NOT put foreign objects or drugs into their bodies (birth control) and should have access to safe affordable medical procedures like abortion....

It's THEIR choice and no one else's, I believe in Freedom and Liberty and the right to choose...

You are saying that women who don't want to use contraceptives shouldnt be expected to use it. And they should have access to abortion....

Well that must be the same attitude of poor women who abort their babies rather then use birth control....Which they most definately have access too.
Abortion over and over sounds like a pretty intrusive sort of birth control.

It comes from the government as a part and a reason for the funding they get from tax payers.. We could put Planned Parenthood out of business and let clinics and doctors dispense birth control.

Not if they don't want to...just like MEN shouldn't be forced to get a vasectomy so no one ever has to worry about pregnancy or abortion.

Poor women should have access to ALL medical procedures...

Being forced to give birth is pretty damn "intrusive"...…………...

Why do you want to put PP out of business when they help give poor women access to affordable birth control !!!? WTF?

    What DO you want?

You're against poor women having lots of kids, you're against PP and the health care and BC they provide for women, , you're against abortion....are you sure it isn't just you're against women???

I mean, c'mon , what DO you want?

Sure. So you are ok with a poor woman who has access to birth control but chooses not to bother with it, and uses abortion as birth control.

You may not have concerns about the risks of having multiple abortions over and over, but does this sound like a responsible way for a poor person to utilize their financial resources?

How can you truely care about women and stand by and say this behavior is ok? Doesn't it hurt her chances of success and independence?

You didn't read my post. Please read what I said and respond based on what I said. Don't say I said something I didn't say. That looks dishonest.

WHAT don't you get about the FACT that it doesn't matter what YOU or I are "OK with" ??? Women are not some kind of animal to be controlled and confined!!

They are free people in a so-called free society and have the right to make CHOICES JUST LIKE YOU DO...

or did you want someone else to make your important decisions for you, rule over you to be sure you lived just like THEY wanted you to live???

You may not have concerns about the risks of having one pregnancy never mind multiple pregnancies , but does that sound like a responsible way for a poor person to utilize their financial resources?

Pregnancy and childbirth are much more costly , (especially for the next 18 years) than any abortion....

Not having kids is her best chance for success but that is HER choice.

I have to laugh when you actually imply you want women to be independent ….as long as they obey your rules and are controlled ????

SHOW EXACTLY where I said you said something you didn't say and explain what you did say

OR you could just answer the questions (without making excuses)

So just to be very clear so that you understand.....the government funding for birth control can be given to doctors or clinics that are not planned parenthood.

    ...and your point?

See, i'm confused because in one post you seemed to want PP shut down and in another you said they provided women with birth control..

White women represent the greatest number of abortions (36%), not black women (30%).

Because women don't use condoms, men do, and men don't get pregnant and they're not financially motivated to use a condom because they aren't generally required to fully support the cost of raising a child and are often not required to pay anything for the support of a child.

    Is that the correct answer?

Poor people have free access to birth control because our government uses planned parenthood as a dispensary.

Poor people would still have free access to birth control if our government used another source as a dispensary.

Is that easier to understand? If you read my post in its entirety you should get it.

It is an excellent answer thank you

More importantly few realise the failure rate of condoms and indeed most contraception

Ps there is such a thing as a female condom ;)

And the cost of going to the doctor? How about the cost of even transport there?

But ACOG have done the research
