If average ocean levels rose by 10 cms could high tide be up by one meter in Ishtmus of Chignecto?

... rise by one meter in the Isthmus of Chignecto in Nova Scotia, Canada?

This question is logical because the geography of Canada's Bay of Fundy produces the world's highest tides. In my part of Nova Scotia in Guysborough County there is very little funnelling of tidal waters......... so high tide is only about one to one point five meters above low tide.

In the eastern area of the Bay of Fundy high tide levels are up by ten to fifteen meters.

Not only does the Bay of Fundy have a funnelling effect on each high tide but also........ because the Bay is

I recently asked the following question on a Facebook group and I got back an exceptionally insightful proposal that I had not thought of before:

    Geology, physics, high tides question.

In my opinion Mr. Mervyn DePendleton's idea of a RELIEF CHANNEL is brilliant.........
so I am going to refer to it as Plan A
....... because the Plan B that I have in mind is obviously going to be considerably more difficult.

My Plan B is to attempt to organize large scale desalination of ocean water in Australia, California, Texas, Israel, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and other nations on such a massive scale that we desalinate and add a similar amount of water to the water table of desert nations as is being added to the world's oceans as ice cracks and slides off the West Antarctic Ice Sheet, the land based Greenland Ice Pack or the world's glaciers.

Australia has the arid real estate and Israel has already developed the technology that makes Plan B theoretically possible.

Should Sorek 2 be in Australia or California?

Tidal dynamics are extremely complex with multiple variables and influences, so my answer is yes but stipulated by storm surge, temperatures, wind direction...etc...even what part of the bay you are next to. Every time anyone attempts to ask simplified questions of complex issues, giving a yes or no answer is inadequate and incomplete.

True... this is complex but the part of the Isthmus of Chignecto that would flood if
high tide rose by as little as one meter..... is all well within the area of the Bay of Fundy where
high tides are up by 12 to 14 meters or more two times each day.

So since low tide to high tide where I live is only about one meter...... it seems to me that since high tides in that area are 12 - 14 times as high two times daily....... I am thinking that if average oceans were to rise by ten cms where I live...... perhaps high tide on the Isthmus of Chignecto could well rise by 10 cms X 12 - 120 cms?

Basically Dennis, yes in could....on Tuesday but Friday it wont. St. Andrews will be inundated while St. Johns gets a puddle on Mrs. Bakers doorstep. Parts of the bay of Fundy would be heavily effected and others will not, eventually erosion will make it all pointless anyway. If you are in Bar harbor and worried I suggest you move because NO ONE can tell you what is going to happen.

I am glad that you mentioned EROSION..... because that is looking like a huge question........
It looks to me as if the entire Isthmus of Chignecto is beginning to LIQUEFY..... which would mean that it is only a matter of time before that entire area is washed into the Bay of Fundy and / or the Gulf of St. Lawrence!

What will all that extra mud and silt do to what remains of the Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Maine fishing industry???????

Several articles on the effect of rising seas were recently done:

    https://www.trurodaily.com/rising-seas/

This article got me thinking along the line of the thick dark topsoil of the Isthmus of Chignecto becoming more and more liquefied as higher and higher tides inundate more and more land in that region.

My off hand guess is that only one to five percent of the soil on the Isthmus of Chignecto
is highly vulnerable to behaving somewhat like a liquid..........
but....... that is a sufficient potential amount of dirt to have a significant negative impact on Nova Scotia's already vulnerable fishing industry.

I am hoping that this possible threat to our fishing industry causes people in my area to become much more
willing to research possible short term...... and possible long term responses to this threat.

By this comment do you mean that you agree with me that a ten centimeter rise in average high tide levels could well produce high tides up by one meter in the eastern area of the Bay of Fundy and the Isthmus of Chignecto?

Yes..... this topic is complicated..... but I am kind of amazed how the extremely important statistic on the amount of H2O being ADDED to the central region of Antarctica tends to be ignored by the people promoting a Carbon Tax, Carbon Tax, Carbon Tax!?
I have a theory on why they usually tend to ignore this information.........
I think it is because they know that if people knew that the amount of H2O being added to Antarctica is what has been saving our coastal communities from rising ocean levels....... up until now....
people would realize that a Carbon Tax will be almost useless over the short term, (fifty to a hundred years), in protecting low lying land from the threat of rising ocean levels and people might tend to consider options such as the Carl Cantrell theory that I promoted in my 2008 campaign:

"Two effective methods to combat global warming and simultaneously fight rising ocean levels have been proposed by New Mexico biologist Carl Cantrell.":

One thing that we do know for sure is that when the shift happens.......
and when the amount of H2O being ADDED to Antarctica is no longer roughly equal to or even greater than the
amount of ice cracking and sliding off the land based Greenland Ice Sheet or the West Antarctic Ice Sheet.......
we are going to need something much more effective over the short term than a carbon tax to save coastal communities and the Isthmus of Chignecto.

I believe that we will need to finance mega-scale desalination of ocean water to attempt to desalinate a comparable amount of ocean water and add it to the water tables of the world that are being depleted by human use....... and by a general Global Warming trend.... as is being added to the oceans.

In my opinion.... .a Carbon Tax is a joke when you start talking about this:

    https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/02/090205142132.htm
Collapse Of Antarctic Ice Sheet Would Likely Put Washington, D.C. Largely Underwater
    [IMG]

There is a much more practical answer than a Carbon Tax and good news because Australia, California, Texas and many other nations have the dry real estate in need of water..... and Israel has already developed the necessary technology:

Should Sorek 2 be in Australia or California?

"How exactly will a Carbon Tax prevent the cracking and sliding of ice off the West Antarctic Ice Sheet or Greenland? Will a Carbon Tax break the hockey stick shaped graph of Mr. Al Gore's film "An Inconvenient Truth" and cause the atmospheric carbon dioxide levels in all the world to go back to what they were in 2010? Would the fact that Canada produces less than three percent of world atmospheric carbon dioxide be relevant to the discussion? So how will a Carbon Tax protect the Isthmus of Chignecto and the eastern area of the Bay of Fundy from the threat of rising tide levels?" (What Dennis Tate would like to hear Mr. Maxime Bernier ask of P. M. Justin Trudeau in Parliament).

On that note..... I suppose I may as well announce my intention to attempt to set up my own campaign to become National Leader of The People's Party of Canada based on the alternative theory on stabilization of the climate by New Mexico biologist and coach Carl Cantrell that I have been promoting since 2007.

My 2006, 2008, 2016 and 2004 campaign writings as ART.

Should Sorek 2 be in Australia or California?

Plus.... my campaign for the office of National Leader of the PPC will also be based on my plan to FINANCE the only plan that I can think of that could actually stabilize world ocean levels........ or even lower them by fifteen centi-meters to give us a buffer zone in case of rapid deterioration of the W.A.I.S. or Greenland Ice Sheet.

    Dude .... you are AWESOME!!!!!!

Well..... to simplify...... my number one worry at this time is that
George Soros and his buddies in China, Europe and even Russia.......
might just succeed in scaring a bunch of less than brilliant people who have a great deal of
power over trends on Wall Street which..........
could set in motion a series of events that could lead to a serious devaluation of the USA petro - dollar / USA dollar?

Just because somebody is a multi- millionaire or even a multi-billionaire..... does not necessarily
mean that this person is either particularly intelligent ... .or wise...... or well informed.......
    or courageous.......... so..........
Since I have in my head a method of diverting the 4.3 trillion or so USA petro- dollars in the hands of
companies, individuals and nations unfriendly to the USA.......
in a manner that should be win - win - win - win -win - win for 99.9% of the population of this third rock then........

.... it seems that I have a responsibility to put this theory in front of as many people as possible as quickly as possible.......
which could well be for me to initiate a campaign to replace Mr. Maxime Bernier as National Leader of the Peoples Party of Canada but........
Tecoyah...... don't tell anybody about this...... but I actually would prefer to NOT become the national leader of the PPC.......
because all that fame is not entirely a fun thing to endure........
but........ if I kind of became the unofficial leading Philosopher / Ethicist of the party and Court Jester.... I could set Mr. Bernier up with lots and lots and lots of material to work with to keep media people pretty busy...... so that they hardly even bother with P. M. Justin Trudeau and / or Mr. Andrew Scheer over the upcoming nine to eleven months before our 2019 federal election?!

If you are in any way serious Dennis (it is hard to tell) then you seriously need to evaluate your public persona and at least pretend to have mental acuity. Between the NDE fixation and extraneous babble you come off as somewhat crazy and will NEVER get the votes. Unfortunately every post you have ever made is waiting for one reporter or another to use as ammunition against you.

Like I wrote previously....... "Dude... you are awesome"....... this is excellent advice.......
and for the record I am trying my best to lure in a much more high profile candidate than myself to our area but.......
I want to set him or her up with lots of conflict to work with that should get him or her lots of free of charge media attention........

(I did make a sincere attempt to lure in Mr. Tim Moen... but so far it looks like I may not have succeeded).

Letter to Premier Wynne From Kevin O’Leary

Mr. Tim Moen read this proposal back on September 17, 2018 and since he has not expressed much interest in this idea..... I suppose that I should move on and attempt to find another potential high profile candidate to face M. P. Sean Fraser rather than me.

    Humnnnnnnnn......
If she had the support of a significant percentage of Europeans living in Toronto....... and/ or Central - Nova...... .she could win this?!

Can Ms. Faith Goldy save Europe?

Let's imagine Ms. Faith Goldy....... appearing on Dragon's Den and / or Shark TAnk.......
let's imagine that she suggest to Kevin O'Leary and the other Dragons and Sharks that they make an offer to President Donald J. Trump and the USA Congress to borrow all 4.3 trillion or so USA petro -dollars that appear to be threatening the value of the USA dollar and / or Wall Street.

If Ms. Goldy convinces the Dragons to make this offer to America to attempt to save protect their dollar.... I assume that President Trump and his team have the authority to freeze George Soros's assets...... and divert them wherever they wish.... IF.... .evidence for a charge of TREASON is discovered?????

If... .Ms. Faith Goldy and / or Canada's Dragons succeed in the proposed offer of for example paying to American taxpayers for example two percent interest on the loan of 4.3 trillion USA dollars.......
IF..... Ms. Faith Goldy and / or Canada's Dragons manage to PREVENT for example a ten percent devaluation of the USA dollar ... .would that not be the pretty much the equivalent of earning USA taxpayers twelve percent interest on the loan?

If.... Ms. Faith Goldy and / or Canada's Dragons manage to prevent a twenty percent devaluation of the USA dollar.... then would not their offer actually earn USA taxpayers twenty two percent interest on that proposed loan?

Tecoyah.... do you think that I am incorrect to consider that perhaps President Donald J. Trump may be far, far, far, far more "Libertarian" than he tends to get credit for being?

I do not think Trump has a political designation, he makes his own. Trumpism has become a phenomenon of its own and the United States will never be the same because of it.

I know that this must sound naive to you Tecoyah......
but I have eighteen years of seeing Messiah Yeshua - Jesus somehow guide my wife to decision after decision after decision.... after decision..... that made no sense to me at the time...... (and on at least two occasions really, really annoyed me)...... .but what Messiah Yeshua - Jesus somehow showed my wife......... sometimes in a dream.....
    worked brilliantly every time?!

So..... I am very, extremely open to the idea that Mr. Mark Taylor may be getting a similar type of guidance and yes..... I do believe that the USA dollar will be more strong and stable than ever after the economic and political dust stirred up by Soros and his buddies settles and the smoke clears away.........

The intricacies and dynamics of world financial transactions make any move away from the Dollar a difficult if not impossible move that WILL cause great losses and hardship for anyone deciding to do so. Unless these dynamics change dramatically and massive capital shifts are put in place before the attempt it will fail. World commerce and monetary policy are completely dependent on this stability and any talk of change is bluster at best.

I one hundred percent agree with this statement Tecoyah!

If George Soros wasn't so old...... .and so cranky...... he probably would not attempt to organize something so astonishingly irresponsible as what he quite publicly has been promoting:
