This professor needs to be fired and the school itself, as well as many High Schools and Universities really need to clean up their agendas and to clean up these rogue, far left "educators".

Government isn’t running UGA. While it’s true they are state school, they also charge a very large tuition.

There is zero expectation of a political free university.

 

As long as the government approves of the politics being preached at the school, the school Will be free to preach it. As soon as the government doesn't like the politics being discussed at the school they will clamp down.

 

States are never going to tamp down political free speech. Not liberal, socialist, or conservative.

 

They will allow mobs to attack and the police will stand down. Then they will claim they have no blood on their hands... Like in Berkeley. They did not want to be seen as stifling free speech so they will let their mobs do it for them and give the mobs a pass for the crimes they commit.

 

Yes. I never got "extra credit" or special treatment for going to political rallies. Nor should anyone. Professors like this should be fired.

Berkeley is currently being sued because the mayor ordered the police to stand down as an angry mob shutdown a political speech that was going to be held there.

 

If the University was privately funded, I could care less what they teach.

 

I remember a few years back people got angry that a restaurant gave a discount to anyone who prayed over their food. It was completely optional but they were forced to stop out of fear of a lawsuit. This is actually very close to it but instead of a discount it's extra credit in favor of supporting a belief system.

 

Unless my son was going there and they were giving him A's to run around campus wearing vagina costumes instead of learning something substantial.
