He has "that face". It is almost a kind face. The face gives the impression that he will protect family. And that includes four legged family. My wife wont let me have a dog...but if I find the right one at the right price...

A motorcycle police officer stops a driver for shooting through a red light. The driver is a real jerk, steps out of his car and comes striding toward the officer, demanding to know why he is being harassed by the Gestapo!

So the officer calmly tells him of the red light violation. The motorist instantly goes on a tirade, questioning the officer's ancestry, sexual orientation, etc., in rather explicit offensive terms.

The tirade goes on without the officer saying anything. When the officer finishes writing the ticket he puts an "AH" in the lower right corner of the narrative portion of the ticket.

He then hands it to The 'violator' for his signature. The guy signs the ticket angrily, and when presented with his copy points to the "AH" and demands to know what it stands for.

The officer says, "That's so when we go to court, I'll remember that you're an azz hole!"

Two months later they're in court. The 'violator' has a bad driving record with a high number of points and is in danger of losing his license, so he hired a lawyer to represent him.

On the stand the officer testifies to seeing the man run through the red light.

Under cross examination the defense attorney asks; "Officer is this a reasonable facsimile of the ticket that you issued to my client?"

Officer responds, "Yes, sir, that is the defendant's copy, his signature and mine, same number at the top."

Lawyer: "Officer, is there any particular marking or notation on this ticket you don't normally make?"

"Yes, sir, in the lower right corner of the narrative there is an "AH," underlined."

"What does the "AH" stand for, officer?"

    "Aggressive and hostile, Sir."

    "Aggressive and hostile?"

    "Yes, Sir.

"Officer, are you sure it doesn't stand for azz hole?"

Well, sir, you know your client better than I do.

How often can one get an attorney to incriminate his own client?

I would have to see the video to believe it really worked that way - too much like an Andrea Dworkin sex fantasy to be true.

It is so nice to have some cool weather for a change. Been doing some long put off cleanup work. Started at the fishpond and worked back to the shed. Then I got working on my shed. I put put in two new shelves and threw a bunch of stuff away. I finished off my day watching the trash burn. There was a lot of it. Also started cleaning up around the outside of the shed. Plastic everywhere..... old plastic cell packs...old plastic pots...and other junk. But with a small amount of fence wire I could have another place for goats to graze. I am going to mow it off....after it is cleaned up....and plant ryegrass. May have some fence wire laying around somewhere. I love being retired....work at my own pace and no one telling me what to do.

Had an awesome day yesterday. My wife and I took a drive up to an eastern Sierra town named Bishop Ca. Got some bacon, assorted sausages, and couple bags of jerky from mahogany smoked meats, then hit the famous schats bakery for a loaf of sheephearders bread, a loaf of rye, and a loaf of apple/raisin pull away bread. Next door to the bakery was a wine and beer boutique.where my wife bought a couple bottles of cider from the UK, and I bought a couple of beers brewed up in mammoth lakes. On our way back home we stopped in Big Pine at the copper top BBQ joint for some of the best BBQ I have bought. She had the tri tip, I had the ribs. We both had green chili with beans. We then stopped in lone pine and had a gander at Mt. Whitney before returning home.
    Nice day trip.

Just my wife. And this is my way of getting out of the house. She always comes up with things I need to do. But she doesnt come out there often and my shed is kinda my man cave. I am in the process of getting all my tools and stuff in one place and organized. I have discovered I have a lot of tools ...except straight screwdrivers. Plenty of phillips head but few straight ones. I also cant seem to find my belt sander or my weed burner.

I used to hate barbeque, until I found out that you can get it without the nasty sauces they put on it. I'll have to try to stop there and try it. Thanks for the tip!

I go past Shat's Bakery a lot. I always wish that I could stop, but the only place to park a truck is at the Vons grocery store. Maybe I'll check Maps for the walking distance.

Serving BBQ w/o the sauce is pretty much the standard in Dallas. They serve the sauce on the side and you're free to add as much or as little as you want. I'm not a big fan of BBQ, but will eat it when I'm visiting Texas. When in Rome etc., etc., etc.
