Hundreds of US troops heading to the border to deal with migrant caravan, official says

Whoa, whoa, whoa!! Don't you know that leftists give poor, brown people (who will likely be eventual US Democratic voters), and also all Muslims by the way, a complete pass - they are like little brown angels as far as the left is concerned. Now if they were wealthy white Christian Republican men THEN, YES THEN, they would likely have a bunch of criminals among them (the leftists think.) But these immigrants are as pure as the wind-driven snow (don't let the fact that snow is white make you racist, though!) If we put up a border wall it must be, somehow, er, uh, racist, or something.

 

The democrats were the ones who didn't want the Vietnamese to come here, just like they didn't want illegals to come only a few short years ago.

Heck, no liberal needs to take them in themselves, when all they have to do is TAX rich people and have the rich people pay to take care of them. Taxing other people - always the leftist solution (leftists generally don't pay taxes - so they love to raise taxes every chance they get.)

 

I don't think 50,000 marines will make a difference until the law changes to allow immediate deportation. The marines aren't going to shoot women and children as they approach the border, and once they set foot on the america side, they can't be deported if they say "asylum" until they see an immigration judge and their "case" is reviewed. That takes months.

Personally if we can't have a law that allows immediate deportation for gate crashers, I'd like to see a migrant detention center on the border with TENTS, not air conditioning, and removal form the USA after the claims are denied.

But that won't happen. They'll be given a piece of paper with a hearing date and be told to appear on said date.

No? I am sure that 800 troops is not enough to seal the border. The point is that Trump is making this into a reality TV show. He farts out that he is sending the military done to the border implying that he is hero boy who will stop the invasion of the walking dead. I am convinced that his announcement is way more for show than practical needs.

Hehe, if this caravan was perceived to be RIGHT-wing (just say), then the Democrats would have a very very different tune about these invaders!

 

Those soldiers' mission is not to secure an entire border...it's to secure the area of which the caravan is going. Just that area.

No one, not Trump, anyone, said these soldiers will be securing the entire border. I think you need to re-read your crazy sources.

 

He's smartly sending a MESSAGE to future (would be) caravans. But you are probably right about the lack of real effectiveness of the mere 800 on this one particular current caravan.

 

Ok, yes, a group of, say, 5 people is not really a "charge", true, but they will assault the border if they are turned away. What, they will just happily walk back 2000 miles (no support from the usual suspects when they head SOUTH) to their homeland without attempting multiple times to crash our border, instead!?? No, we are under attack by invaders.

At this point, we've got so much drone coverage (let alone chopper coverage) of the group it wouldn't matter. Not to mention, even if they did, it would make it much more difficult for Mexico, but not really any more difficult for us. They'd still need to figure out a way over. I'm also guessing these people have not attempted to do this before too...

No, leftists don't actually want to mingle with these poor brown people, or we'd see leftist celebrities like Cher, Rosie, Lady Googoo, De Niro etc. constantly offering to take these down-on-their-luck immigrants into their own homes. Instead, it's "tax the Republicans and let THEM pay for it."
