Of course there are some decent illegals but the reality is they commit a hugely disproportionate amount of the crimes in our country. That is just the statistical reality that there is no way for you to deny:

"In addition, violent crime and drug distribution and possession is also prevalent among illegal aliens. Over 25% of today's federal prison population are illegal aliens. In some areas of the country, 12% of felonies, 25% of burglaries and 34% of thefts are committed by illegal aliens."

Of course he knew and it was absolutely true. Look at the frikkin' crime statistics, they're through the roof. Call him when he says dumb stuff but when he is dead-on honest it only hurts your cause when you call him a liar when he is absolutely telling the truth.

After listening to Hillary lie to us for 25 years I figured I deserved a new liar. And let's face it, Trump's doing a far better job than anyone expected.

Yes. Since 2000, deportations per year have fluctuated between a little under 200,000 to a little over 400,000.

Now. How and where do you suppose ICE finds deportable people?

You said "one judge," correct? Where does that number come from? If you change your answer now to "okay, more than one," where are you getting your information?

If you can't give us a source for "one judge," I can only deduce that you made it up.

Network of large tents on the border. Space them every 1000 feet, none of them near a hughway.

Anyone caught coming over the border goes to the tent or agrees to go home. Sensors between the tents. Leave the tent and you get returned to the tent. One immigration judge per tent. Confiscated or disable all cell phones in possession of a gate crasher.

Change the law to limit and expedite appeals.

Medical care is a big issue. Kids comes across with an appendix about to burst. Goes to hospital. With his mother. Now what?

How about charging a non-refundable application fee?
Our immigration and citizenship laws are archaic, and could really stand some updating.
    1. Citizenship - A child born should acquire the citizenship of its Mother, regardless of where the birth takes place. That should be international law.
    2. Entry into the U.S., with very few exceptions, should require a valid passport and in some instances a visa. All non-U.S. citizens should be required to contact an immigration office periodically if an extended stay, 90 days or more, showing they have a valid passport and visa or other document allowing them to remain legally, along with providing a current residence location and sufficient funds or income from their home country to provide their needs/wants. Fines and/or other penalties should be imposed for failure to abide by our laws, and failure to comply resulting in our need to track them down should result in deportation. Anchor babies should no longer exist. If something along these lines were to be implemented, I would then look into how to handle those who have been in the U.S. illegally for a long time, and at a minimum require them to prove themselves law abiding non-citizens for a minimum of 10 years or more before allowing them to apply for U.S. citizenship. U.S. taxpayers should not be burdened in any way for the costs of immigrants or their care, needs or wants. If individuals are willing to sponsor an immigrant, taking full financial responsibility for them allowing them to remain in the U.S. at no cost to taxpayers collectively, they can document and affirm such with the immigration office for those they wish to sponsor. Deportations should be carried out in a timely fashion, perhaps a 2-3 working day maximum.
Rather than denigrating each others views on this issue, why don't we instead attempt to find some acceptable resolution and put an end to the problem, or at a minimum reduce it?

Sounds good in theory; our migrants are supposed to claim asylum in the first safe country they pass through, but I suspect that the authorities in those countries er, how shall I put it? Oh yeah - help them on their way to the next safe country. And so on, until they get here! :roflol:

There was only One judge at the border from what I read at the time, and it doesn't matter if there were two or three or four. Not nearly enough as immigrants had long waiting periods. And that was my point.

One judge would probably be enough, if he/she were to say "All those with a valid visa, move to the Right. All those without, when you obtain one return here to be given a queue number and make yourself available during business hours each day until you hear your number called out."

That claim was something which has not been proven to be true.

Under current law, those without a Visa will be allowed to get in a line to see a judge, who under current law has to read them their rights and then give them a date to return for a hearing. If they say the words "asilio politico," they are given the opportunity to file a frivolous claim for asylum, which takes months, and then they have the right to appeal, which can take years.

On edit, it is true that we have "expedited removal", which I hope will be invoked against the Hondurans, but the asylum exception will still foul things up:

"A number of de facto and de jure exceptions apply to expedited removal.[2]

    Asylum seekersEdit
Those who request to apply for asylum, or express a fear of persecution or torture when they make contact with immigration enforcement, are referred for a credible fearinterview with a United States Citizenship and Immigration Services officer. If they are able to demonstrate to the officer that they have a credible fear of persecution or torture, they may no longer be subject to expedited removal, but go through a regular immigration hearing before a judge.[2] If they fail to convince the USCIS officer that they have a credible fear of persecution or torture, they may be subject to expedited removal."

And that is why they sneak in because they wait and wait and wait until it appears that the wait will never end.

After his appendix is removed and the kid is deemed fit to travel they both get deported the same day, simple.

Oh Trump didn't say there were terrorists in the caravan? Just one quote of many by Trump:

“They are a threat to our national security because today, war — it’s not only countries that go to war, it is groups such as ISIS, Hezbollah, Hamas, the Taliban, and they have declared war openly against the United States,”

    To quote Trump:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best,” he said in the same speech. “They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

    You can apologize any time!

Not sure where you've been looking but it has been proven to be true many times over:

"The overall perspective of the criminal behavior of illegal aliens is grim. In a 2007 Government Accountability Office study of 55,322 illegal aliens, analysts discovered that they were arrested at least a total of 459,614 times, averaging about eight arrests per illegal alien: 70 percent had between two and 10 arrests, and 26 percent (about 15,000) had 11 or more arrests. Drug or immigration offenses accounted for 45 percent of all offenses, and approximately 12 percent (over 6,600 illegal aliens) were arrested for violent offenses such as murder, robbery, assault, and sex-related crimes.

An FBI crime study also shows heavy illegal alien involvement in criminal activity revealed these statistics:
    • 75 percent of those on the most wanted criminals list in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Albuquerque are illegal aliens."

Except as illustrated by the Trump quote I posted he didn't say anything about illegal aliens.

His tweet stated that there were "unknown Middle Easterners" which is highly probable. Don't accuse someone else of lying when you can't be honest about what they say.
