Patriots got it done 31-17 in a marquee matchup. Easily covered the -5 spread. How about Pats v Saints in the Super Bowl?
Right now I see a 4 team race for the super bowl, with some dark horses. AFC: Pats, Chiefs NFC Rams, Saints Only 2 more weeks till Chiefs vs Rams MNF, which could be a Super Bowl preview.
Anything can happen in the playoffs. One game at a time. All it takes is to win your division, or get a wild card, and then it's a new season.
Yeah. Right now, I like the Pats v Saints in the SB. The Pats showed me something last night. Brady in playoff form, Gordon going full steam, Edelman in stride, and Patterson running over people.
This is a KEY development for the Patriots. Patterson is a wild card. It's hard for defensive coordinators to plan to defend him. Who do you match him up with? He can line up as a wide out, and then motion to tail back and then the D needs to audible. We saw that last night. And when Gronk comes back, it takes double coverage away from Flash Gordon. This Pats offense showed us (especially in the 4th quarter) that they have too many offensive looks than defenses can handle. And I agree with your assessment of the Saints. They have a complete offense and one of the greatest QBs at their disposal. They are also running on momentum. Momentum is hard to stop.
I would love it. I think they both want it. The Saints have made their statement. They aren't messing around. I also loved Michael Thomas' cell phone stunt. 15 years after it happened originally. I watched those highlights when I got home today. Too funny!
Jerry Jones is NOT happy with the Cowboys right now. I'd be very worried if I were JG about this coming off season. They are nowhere near a complete team.
LOL @ the Cowpies. When I went to bed early last night the ever so offensively-challenged Titans couldn't keep a grip on a pigskin to save their souls. I couldn't help but chuckle when I saw the final score this morning. Much like the Deadskins, the Cowboys' problems begin with their meddlesome owner (first round pick for Amari Cooper??). I just saw a headline where Troy Aikman said there needs to be "a complete overhaul of the entire organization" and I can't say that I disagree with him.
Lol yea Jerry gave up a 1st round pick for Cooper and the Patriots gave up a 5th round pick for Gordon...
Yeah. The Cowboys are done. It looked like they quit on Garrett last night. Old Jerry can harp about "no midseason coaching change", but the Cowboys are toast in 2018. Jones needs to start making a list of coaching candidates for 2019.
Definitely. An interesting list of potential JG replacements: https://247sports.com/nfl/dallas-co...-Candidates-to-replace-123053304/#123053304_5
Saw a similar article. I don't think Saban and Jones would work well together. Both demand perfection in different ways. Jones would have to take his foot off the gas and let Saban control everything or it would never work. Harbaugh might be someone who could bow down to Jones though
And the Pats get a 7th round pick back if he gets his ass suspended again. You know you're in bad shape when these guys are THAT eager to get rid of you:
Any NFL owner who hires Saban (or Bobby Petrino) again should have his head examined, but Jerry Jones is stupid enough to do it...
That is a really interesting point. If, somehow, UM could win it all--Harbaugh would have his out. It is interesting that you mentioned Harbaugh. I just found out this morning that one of my Dearborn Girls copped some killer tix for the UM/Ohio State game in Ann Arbor. One of her uncles is traveling back to the Middle East. Gonna be an epic showdown with a trip to the CFP Final Four on the line.
