The Religion of Atheism

God can't possibly be a creature if He is the Creator. Ergo, anything like "magic men" and "unicorns" cannot be equated to God as these have inherent created qualities. Atheists thus cannot be taken seriously until they get the basics down.

 

But the existence of horses can be verified. We have yet to see a unicorn, and there is no good reason to believe in one until we do. There is however a sound reason to believe in God as He is the First Cause, and the only legitimate possiblity into how everything that we know of first came into existence from nothing.

 

For one, the First Cause must be eternal, and unicorns cannot possibly be eternal because of their inherently limited nature. Infinitity cannot be comprehended...but unicorns are fairly easy to comprehend.

Two, unicorns fail to be the encapsulation of all Divine attributes that are manifested in material existence. They're horses with horns for ****'s sake.

 

They are asking me to prove my assertions using their own methods. The arrogance of Atheism knows no bounds.

Many religions believe so.
And your God, whichever religion you chose, has inherent created qualities.

Because creatures are caused into existence. This applies to human technology, as things like the IPhone did not always exist. God is eternal, and has always existed.

Exactly which Divine attributes are manifested in material existence? Birth defects, disease, war , murder, famine come to mind. That you can't blame those on unicorns would make them more godlike than the current claimant to the title.

 

Exactly. And the odds of anyone of them being the real god are vanishingly small. Assuming of course there really is a god.

 

The above argument is an example of argumentum ad passiones, or appeal to emotion. One's emotions should not get in the way of rationalizing events and situations, as emotions are inherently irrational.

It's intriguing how atheists proclaim they are all for Reason, but have no qualms in characterizing God as evil simply because they find certain events emotionally unsatisfying. This is a good reason why atheists reject God; it mostly stems from a subconscious resentment of past memories in one's life that they have failed to deal with on a non-emotional level.

 

You mean the billions of people who believe in the Concept of a One Perfect being who is the source of all creation?

 

Actually I was referring to the billions of people who believe in multiple gods.

 

Of course, each one has the exact same odds as the others.

 

I would HIGHLY recommend you avoid beginning a phycological examination contest of any kind.

 

Some Gods are pure evil.

In Christianity for example, God killed far more people than Satan did.
And even Satan had to conspire with God, to kill the ones he did kill.
