I am calling it a red wave.

Before the ordered redistricting it was possible for 60% of the voters to vote for Democratic candidates, yet twice as many Republicans would be sent to Washington as Democrats. It is one of the ways that the Republicans have cheated their way into power.

 

Name calling? Give me a break. That's like you calling me a Right winger. Yes, the Republicans didn't come up with maps that pleased these judges, who would have guessed. The claim from Dems is there are twice as many registered Dems as GOP and so they felt that it wasn't fair unless there were more Dems elected. That argument is a fallacy. It doesn't include independents like me, my county has a large number of independents who mostly vote red. And the urban areas hold the majority of the Dems, so why should rural areas be at the control of urban liberals? When will gerrymandering in blue states be fixed? My old 2nd district in MD was gerrymandered so that Dems have won there ever since.

 

The left forgets they lost a seat they counted for sure at the end of Sept. In Texas…...where they held the seat for 139 years.
Also they counted to 2 seats in Illinois that Illinois lost due to population loss.

Wasn't that a hoot? Trump brags about all his wondrous accomplishments, more than any president in history, and gets laughed at by the general assembly. I don't believe that has ever happened in the history of the UN. Then the liar in chief tells us, "They were laughing with me not at me." Really? What was there to laugh about. His great record? That would be a great joy among nations to share a bout of laughter?

Maybe the know nothings get off about America being laughed at. Personally, I don't.

 

As I mentioned in the other post, Dems are concentrated around the big cities but much of the state is red. Take a look at the red areas on this map to see what I mean.

Again, Silver is looking at the toss ups, not the leans. As the Demos have 6 toss ups and 15 leans.

Despite that, early voting data shows the Demos are getting their asses kicked. Like I said....own that which means filter it down.....hard!

 

You could use it to roll out the crust but it would probably make a mess.

 

These real world leaders know Trump is exaggerating, they have class and civility whereas Trump doesn’t. Trump is trying to impress people who are out of his league.

Maybe he like most Americans don't care if the rest of the world is laughing at the U.S.. As for the U.N. they will cry in the end

Is the opinion of others what drives the left/Democrat/Progressive? I don't see why pleasing others should be the framework of our decisions.

I prefer standing up for what is right and just, to pats on the head from a bunch of Global Socialist Utopians.

P..S. Stop promoting the Democrat lie that Republicans are going to take away Social Security. That is one of the most immoral scare tactics that Democrats constantly push. It's despicable.

Actually it should reveal to you, the less than honest message that the right wing media has been feeding you.

You should ask yourself, what are a bunch of uneducated, don't want to be educated, and hate those who are educated, right wing thugs doing on a college campus. Could it be they were there to cause trouble? Which they did. And for which some were arrested.

Oh, but oh no, they cry on FOX, they were just patriots trying to exercise their free speech rights. (While ignoring the fact that their speech was little more than to express how much they emotionally disliked everyone and everything around them.) They were peaceful, it was the AntiFa and their despised leader, Emmanual Goldstein, who caused all the violence.

What is it, I wonder, that causes conservatives to oppose anyone who opposes fascism? Well that is except when they are falsely accusing liberals of being fascists. Kind of weird that one one the worse insults conservatives level against liberals, is to accuse liberals of being like conservatives.

 

All the more telling considering that every GOP Presidential candidate of the last twenty years came from inherited money.

The last GOP Presidential candidate to work his way up from nothing was Bob Dole.

 

Recently I saw something, I think it was on German television. There was Angela Merkel, Teresa May, and Emmanual Macron. There were talking about how the United States, under Trump, had taken itself out of its leadership role. They were discussing, how to go forward, without having the US as leader, or even a reliable partner.

I also recently watched a video of Obama giving a speech, at an opening for a foundation. Watching him, with the mumblings of the current president in the back of my mind, I kept thinking that Obama's IQ must be at least 30 points higher than tRump's.

 

My understanding is that Merkel, May and Macron are about to be taken out of their leadership roles, also.

Be that as it may, I am happy that the US is abdicating its leadership. Too many soldiers died in foreign lands maintaining this "leadership."

 

If it is a red wave, I just hope the left's incessant whining will stop. This country has never seen such poor losers. One would think Donald Trump was elected to serve for life the way they carry on.

 

No. One is a fact, the other is what you believe.

 

Empty land is meaningless. People matter.
