She may recover from broken ribs but a broken hip which is very likely at her age is usually a step to the death sentence but not from the broken hip but from pneumonia that often sets in during the recovery attempt.

Those that objected would need to look at their own next reelection year. This last election pretty much showed politicians that dems and "rinos" aren't well liked anymore. Most "rinos" took the easy way out and resigned.

OTOH, dem leadership is very much still alive and kicking even though they shouldn't be after losing elections since 2010 (pre 2018 )

She has come back from cancer of the colon and pancreas. I doubt that a few broken ribs will make her quit.
