If you follow the history of the vast majority of these shootings you will find the second there is resistance from armed personnel, the shooter immediately kill himself.

Nothing new happened after the ruling, that was not already happening prior to the ruling. Firearms were purchased for private use before the Heller ruling just as was done after the ruling.

How does any of the above address the point that was raised? The state of California has already implemented so many firearm-related restrictions, what more can it realistically do? What is left to implement, short of a total prohibition on handgun ownership?

States do not actually have to comply with the age mandate for alcoholic beverages. They are rewarded with increased funding for federal highway programs if they do. It is bribery rather than law.
