Could we guess why Australia and the UK suffer few gun problems compared to America?

Why not replicate what Australia and the UK do? Might take a couple of decades.

There are already laws which prohibit criminals from using guns. What new law would force criminals to turn in the guns they already have? What makes a person a criminal is it the fact that people who do not obey the laws are by definition criminals? So why do the left want new gun laws? It is because they want all law abiding people give up their guns and they do not care about criminals keeping their guns they just want everyone else unarmed. What do you think armed criminals will do when the rest of the country is unarmed?

 

Maybe people in the UK and Australia don't mind being robbed or assaulted while waiting for the police to arrive.

Because the united states is not like any other country in the world. Not simply due exclusively to its thriving firearms culture that no other nation possesses, but due to a myriad of reasons that all contribute something to the equation.

 

Largely because they never had such to begin with.

Because such is not only a legal impossibility, but also a physical impossibility. What other nations have done, has only been achievable because they did not possess a culture similar to the united states, where distrust of government is widespread, and where firearms ownership is actually valued for being a constitutional right, no different than being able to speak an unpopular opinion and not be punished by government for doing such.

Feeling free is not the same thing as being free. Those at the bar felt safe and secure, until the shots were fired. Then they realized what they felt was wrong.

And there were four on duty cops with guns who tried taking down the Pittsburgh shooter. Five armed cops may not have necessarily made a difference.
