"A fight broke out in a closed-door meeting of House Democrats over climate change as a powerful veteran lawmaker fought with freshman star Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other members-elect over the creation of a special panel for the issue,"
The youngest member of Congress is also its craziest. She believes her race, her sex, and her religion (Marxism) entitle her.

    Politico reported,

"New Jersey Rep. Frank Pallone, incoming chairman of the powerful Energy and Commerce Committee — backed by a number of other committee members — slammed the creation of the new climate panel, according to multiple sources in the room. Pallone argued that his committee and other existing panels within the House could take on the issue aggressively.

"But Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), Rep.-elect Joe Neguse (Colo.) and some of the other progressive incoming lawmakers fought back, saying they ran on the issue and needed to do it. Ocasio-Cortez earlier this week pushed for a Green New Deal as she backed more than 200 young protesters at House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s office."
    The Occupy Granny protest.

She wants a special committee appointed so she can buck seniority and chair it.

The press is cheering her on and making her a hero (after ignoring her until she won her primary).

She should be fun for Dems for the next two years.

Yes, it certainly does appear that way.

    Oh how creepy she is!
    She has Sanpaku Eyes!

George Ohsawa, a Japanese thinker who introduced us to macrobiotics, believed in the concept of sanpaku from old Asian diagnostic traditions of facial reading, in which different features were thought to reflect aspects of your physical or spiritual health. In his writings Ohsawa claimed that three-whites was a particularly nasty characteristic, indicative of someone “suspicious, fearful, insecure, quick to misunderstand, and passive.” Furthermore, “his heart, sexual organs, liver, kidney, and lungs are very sick,” and so forth, and the condition can only be treated with a macrobiotic diet.

Charles Manson had the dreaded “upper sanpaku,” in which the white is visible above the iris—thought to indicate a dangerous psychopath.

You guys all know the only way this nut will lose her seat is if someone who’s more nutty runs against her, right? She’s the new Pelosi and has the idiotic quotes to back it up.

She's off to a very bad start. If she comes up against Nancy Pelosi she will be incinerated.

She is fearless and strong. The right and establishment are scared stiff and she hasn't even started yet.

LOL, she is far to idealistic and naïve. Guess she thinks she will singlehandedly "Fundementally transform" congress.
She is in for a rude awakening. But what do you expect, this is what happens when a socialist bartender is sent to congress.

Graveyards are full of fearless people, an intelligent person knows what and what not to fear. And what makes her strong? Nievity is not a strength. And if you think we’re scared stiff then you’re thinking like a liberal.

She is very intelligent. She has travelled around the country supporting candidates and developing connections, earning trust. She hasn't made any real gaffes and the more the right targets her on her looks, wealth, and clothes the stronger she gets.

She's what's wrong with "unopposed candidates". It should be mandated that there be an opponent for EVERY district. She was not and is not qualified for her position. I'm thinking to myself: If Cortez can get in, why can't I?

Why Not? You would just have to accept the same lifetime of personnel attacks that she gets, if you are lucky.

It is only necessary to see how people on the right talk about women to see how much they fear an intelligent woman who disagrees with them (in any way). Helps to explain why so few GOP members of Congress are women. This lady's politics aren't mine, but she is infinitely more impressive than the sad little men who attack her from the safety of their keyboards.

She hasn’t made any real gaffs? She locked out the press, protested Pelosi, acted bossy in a meeting, and the government can just pay for it. And that’s all before she’s ‘inaugurated,’ another blunder the lib media played down. But I’ll bet she makes a mean banana daiquiri.

She knows the Left wants to purge her, but she also knows conservatives want to keep her in, so she's giving them a nugget. How long will she keep this act up? Who knows, but it really is an obstacle(and yet a gift for Republicans) against the socialist Left.

A nerfed House renders the so-called "check" on POTUS Trump meaningless.

I'd love to make a speech or two on the record, I don't think she's qualified for House of Representatives. In front of a camera, in front of her or behind my keyboard.

Remember, she locked the media out of her town hall meetings. She’s smart enough to know she’s clueless.

You would think, but it is more of the opposite. The better you are the more of a threat you are to everyone else.

Well, there's a fine line between fearless and overconfident, strong and overplaying one's hand - and I'm not sensing that anyone is scared of her. There's literally nothing there TO be scared of. I sense more amusement at a junior official in over her head is coming in thinking she has more power than she does.

She's pissing off a senior Democrat and she hasn't even been sworn in yet. These kinds of things tend to bite one back in the butt and Lord knows I've seen enough superintendents come in thinking what hot-shots they are only to be overwhelmed by the system and end up burnt-out and defeated. She might be that one-in-a-gajillion exception to the rule, but I wouldn't bet money on it.
