Obviously, fraudsters in the military industrial complex and the Pentagon decided in this way will receive additional funding. Apparently they bought political prostitutes in the US Congress and the White House. And now they are likely to receive additional funding for corruption and direct theft.
The US military budget is larger than the military budgets of the rest of the world. But to the scammers and thieves in the Pentagon and the government is not enough.
But the most interesting thing is that in the event of the outbreak of war, this war will quickly develop into a nuclear war. And in this case it does not matter - you have 500,000 people, or 450,000 people, or 1,000 people. Yes, even a million. All of them will burn in a nuclear apocalypse. And everyone who has a brain understands this.
Therefore, all the groans about the fact that you need to add funding for military programs, no more than a fraudulent attempt to plunder taxpayer money.

Now in the United States similar times are coming, as in Russia in the 90s of the last century.
In Russia, liberal cattle, led by the alcoholic Yeltsin, who carried out a coup d'état, under the guise of promoting "democracy" and "liberal" ideas, destroyed the country's economy.
Now we see how in the USA it is propagandizing that supposedly the external enemy wants to attack the USA, the American economy is being destroyed.

Therefore, I want to point out that oligarchs, corporations, corrupt politicians and other scoundrels who live at the expense of the working people are our common enemy. Russian is not an enemy for an American. American is not an enemy for Russian. Our common enemy is the class of bloodsuckers-exploiters. These are the foundations of the class struggle.

What do you think about it?

17 years of war brought under obvious fraud will take its toll on any military. Fewer than 17 years in Afghanistan did the same thing to the Soviets.

I have always found it rather funny to watch those with much smaller military footprints, capabilities and technology attempt debasement of the U.S. military with some strange pretense of concern. It is a telling situation of seemingly desperate propaganda. I suggest you folks not worry about us unless you have no choice and I seriously hope you never do.

I think, if you listen to the defense industry you will learn there have been billions and billions of terrorists, Russian, and Chines invaders all poised less than a mile off shore ...

    The game...

    Induce panic
    Panic forces increased defense spending
    Increased spending means more programs
More programs means more senior officers (O6 and above) and
More profits for the defense industry.

Take it with a huge grain of salt.

What do I think about it? I think the photo looks like a soldier who is constipated. It adds nothing to the point of the article. As far as the military, well, warriors always see war on the horizon, business people always see profits on the horizon, religious people always see God on the horizon. Hate, fear, and the promise of wealth are great tools for propaganda. I think we should pay no attention to that man behind the curtain, and get on with living.

The original idea of the U.S. was that it would not have the power, and the corruption that goes with power, of a significant standing army.
Yet, since WWII, there has been a gentle, gradual coup d'état and Congress Corp. has taken over. Compared to its history up to that point, America never ended World War Two as far as military and corporate activity are concerned. What has taken the place of republican democracy is hardly in compliance with "original intent".
That isn't conspiracy theory, rumor or hearsay.
Very few, 'left' or 'right', really want to look at this with open eyes. The Constitution has become rewritten, or rather added to in an unwritten form.

We are fine no one wants to go to all out war with the United States first to beat us conventionally you need to invade us and hold us and without reliable supply lines and far from home, good luck with that if tried. Or you need to nuke us and well we would respond and no one wants to go there. So why worry we only need doctrine of defense not attack.

Terrorism on the other hand is something we can handle focus money on the intelligence services, Interpol and special operations forces and close ties to allies dealing with them.

So well my thoughts on this we are safe in this country even the odds of a terrorist blowing me up is low, very low, that can be improved some even to be better.

I fully support you. US congressmen and the US government are propaganda of incompetence and corruption. These organizations supported the report on the state of the American army. Despite the fact that the US military budget is more than the sum of the military budgets of the rest of the world, the American villains in power support such defeatist reports.

Exactly. Corruption in the Government and the Pentagon fulfill the requirements of the oligarchs from the military-industrial complex.

I agree with you. Only a "man behind the curtain" for his profit is ready to destroy life on earth.

Capitalism breeds corruption. Because under capitalism, personal gain prevails over public ..

It is strange that a nation which practically disarmed after every war has been on a war footing economy since 1941.

Something got lost in the translation. It's not about the idea of profits, but about the idea of control. It's not about the man behind the curtain, but about the fact that we are so gullible when it comes to being controlled. It's about us getting all worked up over one person's opinion that we need more military.

But the US government to the detriment of social programs increases the military budget. Which, by the way, does not increase the power of the US Army. Because the budget is being stolen by corrupt scoundrels in the US government and the Pentagon.

China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and transnational terrorism

Why should we choose to go to war against a country like Iran?

I get tired of the government telling me we are in grave danger, when we are not.

The purpose of the government and media is to keep us in a state of fear. People in such a state happily allow their liberty to be taken, and we have done that several times. The domestic enemies of the US Constitution are far more virulent than any foreign enemy.

Child's play compared to the corruption bred by communism. It killed the USSR. Russia has benefitted greatly from capitalism.

Indeed. "I am from the government and I am here to protect you".

    From what?

    From the dangers we invent.
