Oh come on now Parti why didn't the Obama DOJ file charges when they investigated him years ago? Mules tried to get info by charging the guy and I have zero problem with it but the hypocrisy is pretty rich.

In this case "live a life beyond reproach" translates to "if you are going to take big paychecks to illegally lobby for Russian puppets, cheat on your taxes, and commit bank fraud, don't take a job managing a campaign filled with a bunch of criminals and flirt with Russian spies."

Seems like a low bar to me.

I just don't see it happening soon. Trump wants / needs to stay in power and needs to save some pardons for his family and himself. Pardoning Manafort would put that at risk.

He'll probably ask Manafort to be very very patient.

Well, basing the rest of my life on the mercurial brain of Donald J. Trump is worse than going into a casino and repeatedly betting a single number on the roulette wheel. Best of luck with that, Paul

    Homer.jpg

Would be laughable to pardon Manafort for his current convictions, because as we all know (and many repeat ad nauseam on here), his current convictions have nothing to do with Trump.

Translation: Manafort promised to cooperate, hasn't delivered enough dirt on Trump (because nothing happened), Mueller's witchhunt is collapsing and he is mad as hell.

Showing that bipartisan tone you are so famous for once again I see.

What a shocker you would blindly believe Mueller and his all democrat lawyer team.

It genuinely is leftists this and leftists that. They're a blot on social and political discourse so why not mention it?

Yeah, and Trump and the right are examples of lifting the discourse? Please, your additions wouldn't suggest that.

It is the Leftists who are confronting political opponents in public places, and being encouraged by their leaders to 'get in their faces'. It is Leftists who are rioting in the streets, destroying and taking over public property while discouraging and preventing free speech and the exchange of ideas.

This Mueller Witch Hunt is just a part of their M.O.

Look, if you want to continue this level of discourse without taking responsibility for it, go right ahead. But your excuses are weak. And BTW, you are far from alone, so I'm not just picking on you.

That's BS. Mueller is following orders to unearth and expose what happened in 2016 in connection with Russia trying to subvert our political system.

Go get a FOI and get the fact from the DOJ and find out why they could not file charges. You are making an oblique accusation but you are bringing any facts to the table to support your accusation.

Do you know if the DOJ had enough evidence to charge him? No you do not!

Bring in the facts and can your no facts accusations !

So you are at it again just taking junior high school swipes and accusing me and others of partisanship instead of bringing facts to the issue at hand as an adult would.

Your baseless childish accusations do not warrant a response from me or any other adult here.
Go learn about the issues and come back after you have accomplished that simple task.

So, put Manafort in jail. If Trump pardons him, then what? What will Mueller have accomplished?

In response to the post above, I suppose it didn't occur to the lefties that perhaps Trump's "open book test" was the measure by which Mueller calculated that Manafort was lying to them? Pretty effectively shuts down that narrative...

In the end what do we get? Nothing. Mueller wasting the tax payer dime, and endlessing chasing the never Trump narrative. And the public watches, and will remember the waste of time, and oxygen that this has accomplished nothing.

That only works if Trumps answers are different then Manaforts, and he believes Trump over Manafort.

I’m honestly loving how nobody really knows what’s going on with Mueller so speculation abounds.

    I hope it’s not another Capone’s Vault

Mueller's "witch hunt" has yielded 46 million from Manafort alone while costing 17 million.

Trump used to care about things like profits.

And then he tried to manage a casino.

Anyone who works for or with Russians, pro Russian Ukrainians, or pro Russian Americans , or pro Communists is automatically suspect in my book. Manafort had signed up to work for the devils of Moscow so he is beyond repair.

Mueller has profited 30 million if you limit yourself to just the assets seized from Manafort...

Manafort didn't give Mueller the dirt he wanted on trump so he must have lied I guess. That's how Mueller sees it anyway.

Paul Manafort is not the Trump card in Robert Mueller's deck. How would anyone know that Paul Manafort was lying unless prosecutors clearly knew he was? Sure, Manafort's cooperation would have been like sugar used in a cake to sweeten it up but using 1/3 cup less sugar in a cake will make it less sweet, but it's still a cake.

Trump is going to move to either pardon Paul Manafort or he will stop the Mueller investigation altogether. I tend to believe the latter will occur. As Senate Leader, Mitch McConnell has steadfastly refused to bring a vote to the Senate floor that would protect the Mueller investigation. This should be a clear signal to everyone that Republicans are willing to be complicit in efforts to end the Mueller probe. Unfortunately for Trump, it's too late to end the Mueller investigation entirely since Mueller has his finger on the 'send' button, once he pushes that button, evidence of obstruction and abuse of power will go out to every Attorney General of every State in the U.S. If Trump doesn't put an end to the Mueller investigation and recommendations are made to Rod Rosenstein and brought to Congress, much of the findings will be made public and once they are, there will be an overwhelming outcry from the public for Congress to move forward with articles of impeachment.

Manafort held secret talks with Assange in Ecuadorian embassy

You are in a terrible position if your best argumentative strategy is to "translate" what is really happening.
