No. My tribe is the citizens of the United States - all of them. Only the D's separate US citizens into tribes for political gain. And that is what makes it so difficult for them to conceptualize the idea that some do not see a conglomeration of tribes but a single population of the United States.

Yes and no. The sun doesn't vary anything like the oceans so it can't effect day to day variation, which we call weather, or even short term climate. OTOH the several million years of the Carboniferous period, when the Earth was tropical nearly pole to pole was caused by sun variation, wasn't it?
He didn't say anything about volume. He said the oceans were small, which is patently absurd since the word oceanic is a synonym for overwhelming vastness and that is the first feeling one gets on seeing any ocean for the first time. He was babbling, his standard means of "communication"

You people are a trip, your constant excusing, explaining and often just downright lying in the teeth of reality to justify Trump's incoherence just emphasizes it and makes it worse. but you seem somehow to have picked up on your idol's nearly pathological need to never, ever be wrong. If he'd laugh these kinds of things off everybody would call them "Trumpisms" and nobody would much care, but he is about the most humorless man in High Office I can recall

Anyone who thinks Trump is a smart or clever man is too stupid to maintain any kind of worthy opinion about anything and should probably have 24 hour care.

    Some things are self evident.

The Sun provides the heat which drives the air and water cycles to do what they do. Take away that heat, and everything freezes. No heat from the sun - no real weather as we know it at all. I seriously can't believe you're arguing that.

He said the oceans were small compared to the atmosphere. He was right. Hey, compared to Jupiter the oceans are small. Compared to The Milky Way the oceans are small also. How did you miss the comparison part of his quote?

OK fine, I'm wrong, you're right and Trump can make no mistakes whatsoever, even a bad choice of words is not possible for the all-wise GOD of clear communication

It's a nice attempt at answering without using the quote function so that I wouldn't be notified by your response - sadly I checked.

Good Lord, AU. You ARE wrong about the Sun and you WERE wrong when you left the comparison out of the equation and you ARE wrong that Trump makes no mistakes whatsoever - he makes plenty - and you ARE wrong that he's some kind of communications god. It's not so much that Trump is right so much as you are wrong about everything in that post. I mean heck, I even said in so many words in a reply to Jonsa that his responses need some work. Trump ain't no Great Communicator like Reagan was.

Your post is a prime example of binary thinking - on/off. Trump must either be all-bad or all-good. Sorry, there's some of us out there who will admit that Trump is right when he is right, AND wrong when he is wrong. Your post is a microcosm of the Left today in that even when Trump says something that is absolutely correct, the Left even then goes to great lengths to disagree with it.

I remember when the Left praised nuance when defending Kerry. Apparently that word has disappeared from their collective vocabulary.

Exactly right and totally incoherent in the context of his "answer". Tell me, what difference does the ratio of atmosphere to ocean surface area have to do with pollution moving from one area to another? Is air travel faster because of the fact that compared to the atmosphere land masses are very small? Given trumps answer his comment that oceans are small is nonsensical. Just a rambling, incoherent stream of bullsh*t. Exactly what you would expect from a man of low intelligence trying to sound like he has an inkling of a clue about what the hell he is talking about.

O-C defeated a seasoned corrupt DP pol. Ditto Trump, but Trump also beat The Clinton and Obama political machines, and the united DP/RP Washington establishment without running political ads.

Before that he had to beat 17 of the RP's "best and brightest" in the primaries without running ads.
Trump's victory against a militant united bipartisan political establishment was a political tour de force - and I suspect you know it. ;-)

Look man, we've already established that winning an election has no correlation with intelligence so why do you keep bringing it up?
This is especially true when, as you noted, they are competing against a very unpopular candidate.
As for how he managed to win the primaries - if you can chalk that up to a cunning, shrewd, analytical trump then you have a wilder imagination than I.

How do you win elections without spending money ?? Trump manipulated the press into “financing” his campaign. That indeed is cunning, shrewd, and analytical.

Apparently they are. They financed a significant portion of Trump’s campaign.

Best part of this thread is all the cultists continuing to defend their Moron-In-Chief. So sad when partisanship has so clouded people’s ability to recognize a fool.

With several hundred million dollars, an established family name, and access to resources the common citizen doesn't have I suspect a dope can accomplish quite a lot.

An 'established family name' in Queens? We're talking Trump here, not the Kennedys.

We all have access to resources and if we are smart enough, and work hard, we can be successful. It happens all the time.

But Donald Trump has been hugely successful and that's well beyond the abilities of most people.
