There is $1.6B already in the budget for border security. Not only have they talked about it, they are in agreement with it.

    Dragging feet on what?

Per campaign donnie, Mexico is to pay for the wall.
    Why did he lie?
Why is he asking taxpayers to pay for something that Mexico is to pay for?

Shrug ... can you say here and now, Trump is surely a one term president?

Why does it looks to me 2016 all over again?

Trump keeps lying about Democrats not wanting border security as he fixates on his fantasy wall that he promised Mexico would pay for, but the truth is that it is far more useful to him as an airy-fairy political diversion than as his 2000 mile concrete and steel ineffectual eyesore that would cause his federal bureaucrats to seize private property from Texans by eminent domain.

the dems made a deal with Trump, Trump broke his word on the deal

Trump's problem is he thinks he has to be the winner and the other side the loser... the reality is, to make a deal both sides have to win some and both sides have to lose some

Trumps days of controlling both the house and the senate are coming to a end - now he has to actually deal or he just becomes a lame duck President

    LOL

It's always interesting to see how people apply their bias to what they see.

Unfortunately for you, people can actually view what took place, compare it to your claims, and understand how much weight to apply to your comments.

These two Dems are willing to shut down the government over $5 billion. Really? And you think that makes the President look foolish?

These two hacks went nuts because they were being called out in public. And they kept pleading to debate the issue in private.

What did the President do? Say, "It's called transparency". The rational objective public loved it.

    I agree with your observation.

Getting owned on the issues by the President would bound to cause anyone to wish they were someplace else.

You can tell how wounded he was by his comments afterwards. Claiming the President threw a temper tantrum, and running their "Trump Shutdown" label. What a loser. Trump said he would carry the water for any shutdown caused by a failure to provide $5 billion for the wall, so why the juvenile label? Cause Chuckie was in damage control mode.

I don't think the optics for Schumer went that well. I tend to approach useless meetings differently. If it's useless, I express my opinion of such and leave.

Course they are willing to talk. They just don't want the wall and are fed up with Trump's lies and bullshit.

This idea that democrats want to eliminate borders is nonsense. Is there a small vocal group on the far left that spews this bullshit - undoubtedly. But if you want to paint all democrats by their pronouncements perhaps you can explain why republicans go apeshit when the far right scumbags spout their bullshit?

This would be the very definition of a useless meeting. Leaving physically was not an option, Chuck did the next best thing.

When you are in charge and confronted with a useless meeting its easy to do, necessary at times and can be used for powerful dramatic effect.

OTOH, NONE of those players could do that on national tv. It was a trump stage production that went terribly wrong for him.
Pelosi called him on his bullshit to his face and Schumer mocked him directly when he tried to follow his script. It isn't hard to get him off his game and he backed himself into a corner.

A government shutdown will be Trump's Christmas gift to America. Ain't she great?

ya know. For a really smart talented man, I am surprised he's taken up residence in Trumpland.

    Schumer is LAUGHING!!!!!!!

Only trump would be stupid enough to blurt out that he'd be "proud" to shut down the government and that if there is shutdown its on him. He lost his cool cause Pelosi called him out for his bullshit and schumer counterpunched trump's counterpunch with a stiff left mock.

Yep he's a one term, if that.

Defensive psychological reaction to realizing the gilt is off the turd in 2018 with 2019 not looking so good for your Dear Leader? jus' guessin'

If only you could recapture that unexpected but awesome thrill of the 16 victory. IN the yin and yang of life, I'd be expecting a commensurate agony of defeat, sooner than later, if I were you.

    Oh yeah.

    Trump got Totally OWNED.

And yeah, James Woods is a MORON.

At this point he has been reduced to an idiotic pro-Trump shill trolling for likes and retweets by posting the most imbecilic RW BS that there is.

Woods is the kind of guy that (if Twitter existed in 1945) would be seeking validation by tweeting support for Hitler.

The President disagrees with you. He wants the full credit for wanting to shut down the government. Give it to him.

No, it isn't always interesting, I find your bias filter to be completely ordinary.

"Its called transparency?" And you take him seriously. That wasn't transparency, that was yet another piece of political theater produced by trump that went off the rails when he lost his cool. He got called out for his bullshit to his face on national television. And he came off looking like a spoilt undisciplined brat not getting his way. So he threatened democrats and republicans with shutting down the government.

Did you hear his words. Its on him and he'll be proud to do it. that is assume the blame. What a stand up guy.

    Guess what, my friend?

2020 comes, I’m voting for Trump again.

Have there been many Conservatives here who, having voted for Truump in 2016 will not in 2020? Any?

    Give it a thought. :)
