    This is arrant nonsense.
I believe Solzhenitsyn. His work merely reflected what others
wrote - dissidents from Georgia, Yugoslavia, Hungary, China
etc.. People like Buck, Fuks, Lengyel, Pasternak, Esterhazy,
    Kundera, Kadare, Milosz, Kis etc..

    Everybody hates somebody.
Your blacks hate your whites, etc. But Russia doesn't bomb New York. You did it. Because
    1. You wanted to get this territory for your military base.
    2. You want to demonstrate who is a master in this world. That's a real reason of changing of the world map. And you began it. Crimea is a consequence of your politics only.

Yes, course, because he wrote for you.
Do you know, what this guy wrote? For example, that Stalin kill 100.000.000 Russians. Do you believe him yet? :)

Can you read or you can write only? I wrote that Solzhenitsyn said about 100.000.000 (not 100.000). It's the false. Or would you argue again?
He killed 53. Is it so difficultly to check in Internet?
Really? Wow... I thought before that the main reason were Americans, that wanted because of the war to finish the Great Depression. Do you know, that Prescott Bush collaborated with Hitler and gave him money?
Here I fully agree with you.

Does the idea of American scientists cleaning up Russia's nuclear arsenal offend you personally?

Or does this sound rather logical to you?

What do you think would be the percentage of Russian citizens would who would support a clean up of Russian nukes by USA scientists?

I am biased..... I am Canadian.... and they have been really good neighbours to us in spite of a few kerfuffles a century or so ago!

I'm curious who you think will eventually replace Putin as Russia's leader and what are his policies likely to be?

Hi Igor, welcome to the forum.

What is Moscow like for Western tourist? Is there a lot to see and do? Is public transportation easy to use and is the coverage good? I had heard the crime rates are fairly high in Moscow. Is that a concern for tourist? Is it difficult to get around if we only speak English?

I'm not Igor, but I'm also from Russia and I'm also ready to talk - to talk about the country from the point of view of the average layman.
I will answer the last one without answer. I myself am from Siberia. I have never been to Moscow, this city is VERY hospitable for tourists. There is a very low level of crime at the household level. This is mainly because people have money on bank cards, which everyone actively uses. Public transport in Moscow is great ... you yourself know about the metro. Buses run frequently and routes can be tracked on your smartphone. But it’s not convenient to drive a private car - there are a lot of traffic jams and not the most convenient roads. A lot of Russians understand simple English, but not many risk speaking. In the service sector, especially in Moscow, everyone will be able to talk to you well. For street walks, it does not hurt to have a translator in your smartphone.

We don't tend to show sympathy for countries who are invading other countries.

No matter how many lies and spin you put on it your country is a military invader.

likewise, colleague. I have no sympathy for Ukraine invading the Donbass. I have no sympathy for the US, which has invaded dozens of countries.
First, I can't read Putin's mind. And secondly, a person who has chosen the profession of a soldier is ready to sacrifice his life in the same way as any driver means that he can die in an accident.
To paraphrase your question, I will ask in response: How many people must die in road accidents for the country to abandon cars. ;-)
