I did not think my point was all that unclear.

I just referenced a polling statistic to demonstrate that there are a group, otherwise known as trump's base, who will believe anything - from blaming Democrats for a shutdown that trump already claimed ownership to the notion that he has been truthful during the Russia investigation.

 

So did the midterm elections - by ~7%.
