As to the "majority of climate scientists" being in agreement that global climate change is anthropogenic and catastrophic -

This is not the first time that a majority of experts, in some narrow field of expertise, were left to sincerely believe that their field of expertise is the most important thing in the world at the time, and that life on Earth as we know it depends upon their benevolent guidance.
I have personally heard politicians and preachers make the same claims.

Sounds like you have a well-researched position, assuredly based on Kuhn. You should publish it.

There actually is no such thing as a climate scientist.

All of these scientists degreed in normal fields like geology or biology.

Because they are doing a study involving the climate they are called climate scientists.

You don't actually get a degree in climate science.

Look at any peer reviewed published journal article out there and you will not see a single one authored by someone called a "climate scientist".

Also read the funding acknowledgements. Almost always says "This research, we use the term loosely mind you as it doesn't agree with Fox News, has been funded by my mate Dave. Dave doesn't like America"

Climatologists aren't the only ones making the claim about global warming. It's supported by evidence from a wide variety of individual sciences, and it's not only happening; it's speeding up. Deniers will be held responsible for the massive impacts that come that could have been avoided. I wouldn't want my name included in that list.

    Another uneducated post.

There are only a few scientists that push catastrophic climate change. Very few scientists are on board with that. The media hypes alarmist propaganda that often isn't even in the paper they refer to. Anytime some kind of warm this or that happens it is 'the end of the world' but I bet you haven't heard we have had the largest two year cooling event since I believe the 80s. I bet you haven't heard that the average temperature over the US has not statistically changed for 18 years.

It is certainly not the first time that ideologues have denied science, but what are your previous cases of experts "believ[ing] that their field of expertise is the most important thing in the world at the time, and that life on Earth as we know it depends upon their benevolent guidance?"

As usual a few minutes of research shows you don't know what you're talking about. This was the top hit when I searched "global warming" on scholar.google.com

"Science" is almost always wrong. In fact, so few were those who were correct, in any field of study, that we can know their names. The vast majority of the best and the brightest of those who dedicated their lives to the "science" of their time wasted their lives on mombo jumbo.
From miasma to bleeding, from geo-centrism to reincarnation, the science of the time is always almost completely wrong.

Actual temperature increase seem to be as elusive as an actual voter who was tricked out of voting for Hillary by the Russians. Eighteen years and counting.

Our climate is absolutely dominated by the sun. Human contributions to atmospheric CO2 is less than 10% of 10% of 4% of 1%. Anthropogenic-catastrophic-global climate change is an anthropocentric arrogance; we're simply not all that.

Huh, the 10 warmest years on record over the contiguous US have all occurred since 1998 and 2012 and 2015 were the warmist on record.

Are you getting your info from WUWT?

There are very few scientist who deny the science as it adds up. Mostly fossil fuel industry funded shills.

Then it should be easy to scientifically prove anti-science.

I haven't but if you want to throw up a chart lets look at it.

Even if you were right, the US does not exist seperatly from the rest of the world.

Go ahead and provide a link to prove your point.

What is the current alarmism based on? CO2?

Well, you omitted physics and chemistry, that the authors are almost exclusively PhDs and that the largest rewards of science go to those who prove something to be wrong - not those whose work ends up being confirmation.

There are scientists around the world studying everything from the sun to all levels of our atmosphere to the surface and below the surface to the depths of the ocean. We have scientists around the world studying climate throughout history using numerous techniques.

    That is a MAJOR strength.

Any attempt to coordinate the results of these numerous approaches in all the affected disciplines from organized science throughout the world would be entirely impossible.

Nobody could possibly predict what the various pieces would have to report in order to be consistent. And even if someone tried to create such a conspiracy, there is no possibility of affecting such a diverse and widely distributed field of science.

The current politicization of science has corrupted the process. For instance there are plenty of solar scientists that are ignored or even attacked because their science does not follow the political dogma. Also, the money from politics is a real problem when it only goes to those willing to follow the political line of thinking.

Eventually the true science wins out but with Climate Science we are far from that.

It is a simple fact that there is no poll which shows such an agreement among scientists. If it was true, they should be able to provide a poll which shows this. Instead, they did an analysis of scientific papers which supposedly support such a claim.
