I dont sense that the Dynamic Duo is ready to fund the wall yet

 

It doesn't upset me in the least. I was genuinely curious as to his reason for addressing the nation. I have my own suspicions, but they will only be contrary - so no point in posting them.

 

I haven't heard anyone call it a national crisis.

 

Only a physical barrier can do the physical barrier component of border security.

Democrats in Congress have refused to acknowledge the crisis. And they have refused to provide our brave border agents with the tools they desperately need to protect our families and our nation.

The federal government remains shut down for one reason and one reason only: because Democrats will not fund border security.

My administration is doing everything in our power to help those impacted by the situation. But the only solution is for Democrats to pass a spending bill that defends our borders and re-opens the government.

Because something for nothing is a big right wing thing, although all of them will get mad at you if you point that out.

They will always get mad when you point out accurately that most people on any kind of welfare are white and not from the inner city (as the stereotype portrays)

They will always get mad when you point out that red states are receiver states.

They will howl in outrage whenever you note that they are cashing government checks, and rant that they deserve it and attack imaginary "other" people (presumable brown or blacks ones) that don't.

And they hate being fact checked.

I understand he called it a humanitarian and security crisis.... A few times he just said crisis by itself. He TECHNICALLY never said 'national crisis' in consecutive words..... they'll stand firm on that hill, as if that distinction matters...

.....he said that he hasn't heard anyone call it a national crisis. Trump has most certainly called it a national crisis and threatened to declare it a national emergency warranting an expansion of executive authority.
