Pleased to meet you all. Im Violet and when I'm not hanging out with my Westie puppy I'm having a bit of a laugh at Trump and his trainwreck of an administration. The latter keeps me occupied as there's a lot to laugh at.

I used to dream of going to Mexico and crossing the border into the US so I could experience life somewhere with no universal healthcare, and where I could buy a gun for every day of the week without needing to wait or have background checks done. But Trumpelthinskins Wall of maybe steel slats scared me off just driving through a normal entry point so I'm off to claim asylum in New Zealand instead.

In what's left of my time I read fan fiction and binge watch netflix

Funny how so many Australians show up hating Trump. We do not bother to hate your leaders . Why trifle with ours?

What went wrong for you Aussies is you took the word of our media.

Our media started waging war on Trump the day he won the election. And they show no signs of stopping.

We have some fair minded sources but watch our Democrats go into denial mode.

Its amusing that Obama wanted the wall, Clinton wanted the wall....and suddenly, when Trump wants a wall....no...we dont want a wall...
But I suppose the media is nothing but the scum of the earth, preying most of the time on the controveries and tragedies of the world...and of course,

I hate/detest/despise/want to depose/bring down Trump because he is a low life grub/scum bag and I have the right to say and wish so, because he is the Leader of the most powerful Country in the West, and Australia has always, out of filiality, respect and obligation, gone to War with the US. I wish I knew the answer, Robert. Personally I blame our collective and irrational dislike of the Greatest President and Statesman ever on Rupert Murdoch. He uses his Fake News Media Network to brainwash us all How could anyone not respect Trump? He's dignified and is never a bully or nasty. He never ever whines or has temper tantrums when he discovers he can't do what he wants when he wants because he has the misfortune to live in a democracy. And he never ever contradicts himself or lies! Us Aussies have been misinformed by Rupert Murdoch and the Fake News Media! I bet I've even been lied to about Barnaby Joyce and Peter Dutton.

Speaking of which without googling it who's our Primr Minister? And the deafening silence in reply is the reason why most American's don't bother to hate our leaders. They don't know who they are.

I've thought of moving to Tassie but I'd need to settle near Hobart for work and property prices are pretty high nowadays. Here in canberra the taxes (rates, stamp duty etc) are really high.

Oh yeah. Elon musk was doing some battery thing in South Australia. I never heard what happened coz I got distracted by him calling that diver who helped save those Thai kids a pedophile.

 

I've been to NZ a few times and love it. I'm planning to visit Ireland next year. Not sure if I want to live there as I've met a few Irish Australians who tell me the cost of living is astronomical.

 

The same right we have to rule everywhere else in the world. What is it with Americans thinking that international rules and norms dont apply to them???

 

I forgot to mention when I introduced myself that I used to post on Democratic Underground, but over the years it got overrun by humorless devotees of Hillary Clinton who would do purity tests on old timers like me who thought Bernie Sanders was okay for a US politician. When one of then started cyber shrieking at me about how I must like Trump if I didn't prostrate myself at the Altar Of Hillary, I figured it was time to wander away and stick to reading The Guardian and Trumps Twitter feeds
