F.B.I. Opened Inquiry Into Whether Trump Was Secretly Working on Behalf of Russia

I hate to say I told you so, but libertarians have been trying to warn conservatives (and everyone else for that matter) for decades about how corrupt and evil some law enforcement organizations have become over the years. What is happening to Trump is in many ways the bastard child of the conservative movement, who have empowered and pampered law enforcement agencies over the years. Ironically, Trump proclaims to be a big supporter of law enforcement, even though law enforcement agencies are some of his biggest and most dangerous enemies.

 

That was very obviously a joke. One wonders at the sanity of people who ever thought that it was anything but a joke. Oh well, since 2016 sanity and the Left have not exactly been on talking terms.

 

I find it interesting that Trump's statement is more upsetting to you than Hillary's mishandling of her email system.

 

Let Mueller finish the job. Trump with a clean bill of health would have a leg up on getting reelected.

Some things Trump wants to do would be great for America. Patriotic Americans should support those things even if they dislike Trump, for the good of the country. Instead, they care more about harming Trump than they do about strengthening the country. That is damn shameful.

There was no Russian "interference" and there was no "collusion". It's just a fake story created by Trump's enemies.

Sure, that's why I support tightening up controls on illegals.

We need a national ID modeled on the Nexus Pass that can be used to make sure employers only hire people entitled to work here, and that includes domestics and day labor. Anyone who hires an illegal gets fined, and lots of illegals get jail time. We can use physical barriers and other means as required, but the ID card is key.

American workers shouldn't have to compete against illegal immigrants for jobs. I don't care if illegals have low crime rates (they do).

Family reunification for legal immigrants? Yes--spouses and minor children as long as they don't have criminal records.

Illegals here now? I'm inclined toward generosity providing we get the national ID and smart border barriers that no doubt include wall-like structures in some areas.

Trump shouldn't get a dime until he puts forward a comprehensive border barrier plan. Then we should fund it if it makes sense. I'd like too see a comprehensive solution because the various parts of a complete program interact.

 

He keeps at it until he figures he's done.

How do you know there's no there there? Trump and his supporters should say they're leaving the matter to Mueller and then shut the hell up.

DNC colluded with "foreign operatives"? That's insanity, never happened. In case you didn't know it, the U.S. has foreign operatives in just about every country in the world as does Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, etc. Ask Michael Flynn, he was a foreign operative for Erdogan of Turkey at the same time he was the U.S. National Security Director! The DNC never colluded with any foreign operatives to interfere in the U.S. election. That claim of yours is totally without basis or substantiation. That's pure Fox conspiracy theory right there, and you bought it. Just because the DNC paid Fusion GPS to provide research on multiple candidates in the Republican presidential primary doesn't make them complicit with a crime as Trump was. It was Fusion GPS that hired Christopher Steele and for good reason. Christopher Steele was probably one of the best intelligence source that Fusion GPS could have hired.

Christopher Steele is a former intelligence officer with the Secret Intelligence Service MI6, which is probably one of the best intelligence agencies in the world. He ran the Russia desk at MI6 headquarters in London for three years. He was recruited by MI6 right after his graduation from Cambridge. An FSB-agent (the agency that came after the KGB) described him as an "enemy of Mother Russia. Between 2014 and 2016, Steele created over 100 reports on Russian and Ukrainian issues, which were read within the United States Department of State, and he was viewed as credible by the United States intelligence community.

There is no such thing as a "former" intelligence officer. Once you're on the inside, you're basically in for life. Retirement is something that happens in name only. This may come as a shock to you, but spies have been known to LIE about stuff.

So, yes, the DNC colluded with a foreign operative, namely Christopher Steele, in order to manipulate the US presidential election. There is also tons of evidence proving that operatives from within the US government attempted to interfere in the US presidential election on behalf of Hillary Clinton. ALL the major "collusion" and "interference" was committed by Hillary Clinton and her minions. Hillary Clinton's crooked network is behind all this anti-Russian insanity. They are trying to destroy an elected president with a fraudulent investigation.

The FBI's counterintelligence investigation did not begin because of the Steele dossier. That's what Trump told you and of course you believe him, which is only natural that you do. But it's not true. Beginning in July 2016, that “dossier” actually sat for several weeks inside an organized crime unit at the FBI’s New York field office, even as counterintelligence agents in Washington, D.C. – unaware of the new allegations – were already investigating Russian efforts to hijack American democracy.
