Tulsi Gabbard officially running for President in 2020.

If Trump isn't impeached or in jail by then, my prediction is that this tough, smart lady will wipe the floor with him.

Fair point but remember that even though Hillary was a terrible candidate she still won more of the popular vote.

Gabbard is orders of magnitude different than Hillary.

I doubt if the bloodthirsty Clinton wing will support an anti-war candidate but I do. They'll probably sic David Brock on her and the NYT will give her the Sanders treatment.

Do Dems even have a good high profile candidate? Or is it going to be a circus show against another circus in the White House?

Gabbard, a Democrat from Hawaii, said Friday in an interview with CNN's Van Jones that she will seek her party's nomination for president in 2020

Popular vote is not part of the Constitution for presidents.

I think why the Democrats have gathered so much more power than say in 1900 is for a very few reasons.
    1. Change from a massive agriculture nation to one that has major Cities that grew on steroids.
City people buy cut up meats, beef and chicken for instance, and grow no crops. Our ancestors purchased bolts of cloth to make their own clothing. Democrats simply are not equipped to do this.

    2. Farmers/ranchers are self sufficient. Being in a city removes much of your inclination to self assurance and self preservation. It is like if we had to survive as did people such as Davy Crockett, George Washington, Jefferson and many other famous people of our past, city people could not survive without buying their way out. They lost the skills to survive our earlier ancestors possessed.

There exists a hardy group even today that could actually farm, can hunt, can grow crops and we know them as Republicans.

Since the farming community keeps shrinking, the Democrats plans are to phase out republicans.

Sad if this nation allows that to happen.

    Everybody gets it.

The GOP has ZERO chance of ever winning the Popular Vote again.

Their only chance is the Electoral College.

The left wing outlets don’t appear to be friendly to her compared to Beto or others.

Could be. But the purpose of the constitution was to prevent a tyranny of the majority to take down the minority. Seems you want tyranny.

You hate the federation and would want to live in centralized republic? If that’s the case you must realize - republicans would be able to overturn Obamacare if it wasn’t for senate. Haven’t heard you complain about Senate having unfair representation due to each state having 2 senators, no matter how large or small. So, what would you prefer - end of Obamacare or 4 years of trump?

Of course, the GOP can't do it now b/c of the Dem House.

But, in the last Congress, doing away with the individual mandate could prove fatal for the ACA once it gets to the SCOTUS.

There is no popular vote. The States are not one sovereignty. If you don't like it, then amend the constitution.

Wonder if you get it yet. IF you notice I do post a lot. And expose myself to comments by any party. But if you notice further, Democrats object to me but republicans approve my remarks.

We republicans have to know what I know in order to challenge the terrible Democrats. Sure some Democrats are merely deluded as I used to be, and then I too was a very nice person. I am still a very nice person. I offer no malice to any person. Trump included.

Mexicans I see, work in cities and not on farms. I have a friend with a small farm and he did not hire Mexicans but used the services of a contractor. Said Contractor hired Mexicans. I admit he told me this at least 18 years ago. I do not ask him who collects his crops. I may try to contact him and ask if Mexicans still are pressed into fairly hard duty picking his crop or if things perhaps went mechanized for him. Machines more than put whites out of a job, they put everybody out of jobs. Henry Ford put his share of wagon makers, horse rigging to rig them to wagons and more but who wants a horse today?

We must make a shift in aims and goals that appeal to city dwellers. At some point if we do not, the democrats will essentially own America. Which means there would be a national disaster.

And of course Nancy Pelosi plans to exactly that.

Each state is a unique sovereignty. Democrats must learn that.

When the great unwashed handed Obama to me, I would comment on his errors, complain he was far too overestimated by his fans and very sluggish to make decisions. As a realist it was not appreciated by Democrats.

Why don't republicans come up with universal healthcare plan. If They do they can easily win both House and Senate as well as Presidency

You can't even defend Obama. I easily can defend Trump. I feel so sorry for Democrats See I spent decades being one myself.

What part of America do you love? What about republicans?

Well, why don't you tell us how it could be paid for? And will you be fine with your doctors and hospitals under Federal rule? If you want it, bear in mind the extreme problems the VA hospitals and doctors had for a very long time. Check out the VA hospital and explain why you would enjoy a room there?

The only president that truly tried hard to improve the VA system is GW Bush.

Say, have you ever been to Ellis Island next to the Statue of Liberty Island?

Take a look at this VA hospital. I have been inside it and when I went in, it reminds me of the decrepit Ellis Island.I felt sorry for patients.

Not sure how Andrew would defend Obama but, I assure you you can not defend Trump ... not on the basis of Republicanism - that much is certain.

What I love about America is the founding principles and the ideals of Republicanism - principles and ideals that Trump does not respect.

Tulsi on the other hand .. while perhaps not perfect - is a whole lot better than Trump.
