Dead Company walking. I'm simply amazed at the outright sexism and bigotry of this commercial. Masculinity is not a belief in bullying or sexism. The very fact they would conclude this makes themselves the sexists. And quoting the anti white racists at the Young Turks makes it even more transparent who they really are.

Is this what we want our children to be taught? That being masculine means being a sexist and bully?

Proctor & Gamble is urging men to shave their “toxic masculinity” in a new ad for Gillette razors. The ad shows men fighting, cooking barbecue, and verbally harassing women, interspersed with news reports about the #MeToo movement.

    The message?

Stay well-groomed and treat women with respect and you'll get more kitty?

    Sounds good.:flagus:

It definitely beats the hell out of being a MORBIDLY OBESE 72-Year-Old (who makes Jabba the Hut look like Brad Pitt) holding a Middle-Aged Slovenian Hooker hostage.

    Oh well. Different strokes.:salute:

No slick its not good since masculinity does not make someone sexist or a bully. Try actually watching the commercial.

And including a racist organization in your commertical isn't a smart idea either.

No but toxic masculinity does. Why ignore the qualifier?

Because its a fake qualifier. The term itself is sexist.

2 boys roughhousing for example in that commercial is not toxic masculinity.

And quoting a racist organization like the young turks doesn't help them either.

Bullying is overwhelmingly a male problem (92%+)

Murder is overwhelmingly a male problem (96%+)

Assault is overwhelmingly a male problem (78%+)

Rape is overwhelmingly a male problem (97%+)

If it was any other group (illegals, blacks, gays, Muslims, any non-WASP) was contributing to the above with even half that percentage per capita conservatives would be creating thread after thread — Fox would be airing it every 45 seconds — bribeart and lifesite would have pages of articles and trump would be calling it a national crisis.

But like the ad says, boys will be boys.

I’m glad corporations and politicians are beginning to say this is unacceptable.

A funny side effect of this kind of SJW cuckoldry on popular culture is that nerds are no longer your typical stereotype for unattractiveness.

Now male feminists have that spot.

I find that pretty awesome personally. Go nerds :)

At this moment I am not even sure what boys are aloud to act like. Frankly all that seems to be taught is that is is shameful to be a boy.

As a young boy, I bled in the course of discipline. Once I had my right arm broken. The coat hanger scene in "mommy dearest", I lived through that, and waaayyyy worse than what happened in the movie.

97%+ of the violence I've had to face came from women. And that's taking the fights with bullies into account as well.

A year ago, I bought a Harry's razor. It's that good, I binned all my Gillette razors, even before using unused new spare blades.

One good thing about free speech is that it allows everyone to see how batshit crazy things are.

While Gilette may create any sort of ad they wish, it's definitely not their duty to signal to everyone what they should think, feel, or do. It's pretty hilarious that corporations are taking this path.

That had to be the most poorly thought out commercial I've ever seen. These people are trying to sell stuff to men only to insult us. And of course, the only decent men in the commercial are black men. This commercial is racist and sexist.

Kids wrestling is toxic? My kittens wrestled, and they're males! OMG!

I have a funny feeling I know which men this commercial is aimed at. Know what I mean?

This commercial should go over well with the men in the Latino hordes who rape a third of the women they travel with.

Boys being boys is unacceptable? Why do us men have to tolerate commercials where white men are idiots and the woman is king?

It's a sexist slur because the adjective "toxic" applies to "masculinity" itself. In other words, it says that the act of being male by itself is toxic.

I'd have to say you're correct on this. If a man and woman are arguing and the woman throws a fit, breaks a dish, or starts insulting the man, no one takes that as abuse. But if a man does it....

As an aside, when I lived in CA a group of cops told me their arrest ratio for domestic abuse is about 50-50 for men and women, but that the abuse towards the man has to be a real serious, while the abuse towards the woman can range from idle threats towards the woman to simply being afraid. The said ever since the OJ Simpson thing, looking at a woman the wrong way can get a guy in a lot of trouble.

My Puerto Rican ex wife was extremely abusive relative to what's considered abusive towards a woman. I could tell you stories.
