One would think that a 72-year-old, supposedly college educated person from a first world country, would understand that if he LIES all the time that absolutely nobody, even his closest supporters, would believe him, even if he was (I know, it is so far fetched) finally telling the truth. I know I sure do not!
"US President Donald Trump has denied working for Russia, pouring scorn on the latest reports to cast scrutiny on his relationship with Moscow.
Addressing reporters at the White House as he left for Louisiana, he said: "I never worked for Russia."
He denied a Washington Post report that he had concealed a translation of a meeting with Mr. Putin."
I guess trump daddy didn't read the story of the little boy who cried wolf to his son, Donny. Perhaps the trump daddy, a NY slum lord, thought his child just too weak and fragile for that!

His current shut down of our government could be viewed as a direct attempt to further destabilize our entire economic system and further belittle us in the eyes of the SANE WORLD.

    Looks like he still is.

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration on Thursday defended its decision to lift sanctions on companies linked to the billionaire Russian oligarch Oleg V. Deripaska, despite deep concerns from newly empowered House Democrats that the move was an effort by President Trump to help an ally of President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia.

    Remember Manafort's buddy?

Really? How can anyone possibly doubt that Putin, a very smart and powerful man, could not, at the very least, easily influence (if not downright control) this weak, cowardly, spineless dotard man-child that presently inhabits the Oval Office?
Lifting the sanctions now could very well lead to Russia having the most powerful military on the planet in a few years. Long after the abomination in the White House is gone, we, the citizens of these United States of America, will have to deal with the repercussions.
As it is the stated goal of Vladie baby to bring back the former majesty of the former Soviet Union, under his leadership, then will this begin a new cold war all over again, but with the US some 5 years behind in weapons technology?
Really folks, Republican or Democrat, is this the world you want to inherit in a few years after Trump is dead and buried?

Today that story is "Trump never worked for Russia".

Anyone want to place bets on how long it takes before that magically becomes "Everyone knew Trump was working for Russia"?

Oh, I doubt seriously that the dotard is actually "working" for Russia or Putin in the strict sense of the word, but I have absolutely no doubt that he has been manipulated to the point the buffoon is actually doing Putin's bidding.
The president just hasn't got what it takes to go head to head with a smart man like Putin and hasn't got the sense to listen to his own advisors regarding his actions. America has never been in such dire jeopardy.

If by manipulated you mean blackmailed or compromised, I completely agree. I think he's afraid of Putin, and in time, likely we'll know why. But I don't see Trump as intelligent enough to be 'working' for Russia.

Undisputed 2012/13/14 Debating Champion! :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: :trophy:

7-13-13 George Zimmerman found innocent! Told ya!
6-18-14 Obama is a failure! Told ya!
11-4-14 Democrats lose Senate! Told ya!
Zimmerman is a racist slimeball who got away with murder. Nothing more and certainly no hero. He will not be remembered well by history, if at all.
If Obama was such a failure, then why is the abomination in the White House going to so much trouble to destroy his legacy?
And finally, with both houses controlled by the Republicans for 6 of Obama's 8 years in office, how can you not see that most of the failures you attribute to Obama were actually because of actions by the Republicans?
You do not seem to have a very good grasp of how the three branches of American government work..

I think it quite easy to judge Trump's intelligence. Even with his father pouring hundreds of thousands of illegal dollars into his casino, Trump still managed to fail as it's operator. Just exactly how does a halfway intelligent person fail at operating a casino? The odds are always in the house's favor.
Perhaps if the orange real estate god had realized that if you spend more than you make, even your rich daddy won't be able to save you.
And now he is running the United States of America in the very same way, but daddy's gone and buried, and there's no one else who even going to try to bail this dotard out! All his rich buddies (the ones who got the most from the new tax changes) are going to do is take their profits and run away, leaving the dupe to take the rap.

    Let me ask you something

Suppose we forget Russia and swap it for let's say Australia

And you talk to an Aussie

But later you are accused of being close to the Aussie prime minister'

Are you guilty of that though being accused by some Democrat?

Why is Trump so Anti Putin in acts but talks nicer about him?

Gee, he has actually finally met Putin and found much of our propaganda is not true.

This (in bold) is abject nonsense. Russia has a total of one (1) aircraft carrier and last I checked an accident had left them without a dry-dock. They have little ability to project power on a conventional basis - relative to the US. It would take Russia decades to catch up just on the basis of sheer numbers.

Russia is good in defensive conventional technology. The reason for this is that after the fall of the wall Russia gave up on competing with the US - plane for plane - ship for ship. They instead focused their limited budget on niche technologies - such as missiles and electronic warfare.

The other factor you are neglecting is that building up conventional forces - as if there will be a major conventional war between superpowers - is stupidity on steroids. If we were to conventionally attack the homeland of Russia - and were having some success - nukes would be used.

The US is not ahead of Russia and Russia is not ahead of the US. In the case of a nuclear war - both nations get annihilated. There is then no such thing as "more powerful". If one nation can destroy the other 5 times - and the other nation 6 times - what meaning does "more powerful" have ?

This is like two children bickering "I have enough firepower to burn your house down 5 times" then the other "well I have enough burn your house down 6 times" ?

What friggen difference does having enough firepower to burn the others house down 4 more times when the house is already destroyed ?

As to your second "cold war" point -- we are already in a new cold war and a new arms race - one that we started.

    Shame on you!
The need to assassinate character is invariably driven by the inability to make a factual case- and immediately and totally discredits those who can do no better.

It is flat wrong to connect Manafort to Russia since his connection was to a foe of Russia. Worse to connect Trump to Russia since his only foray there was to explore the building of a commercial structure.

Trump has nothing to do with Russia now other than to threaten Russia with Armored troops sitting on the border of Russia.

Excuse me but where is it written that a President has to reveal his talks with any foreign leader? Did he do it with China, Korea, Japan, etc?

What the hell makes you or anyone else think he worked FOR Russia. That is the dumbest thing that you people have come up with yet. Does this sound like he WORKED for Russia?

The Anti-Obama: Trump Selling Missile Defense To Poland ...
    https://www.dailywire.com/news/18299/anti-obama-trump-selling...
Remember when Barack Obama capitulated to Russia in 2010 by removing missile launchers in Poland that neared the Russian border? There’s a new sheriff in town. On Wednesday, the Polish state news agency PAP reported that Poland’s government will buy the Patriot missile defense system from the U.S.

    1. Trump in Poland: U.S. To Sell Warsaw Arms to Stop 'Hot …
      www.newsweek.com/trump-poland-warsaw-us-arms-russia-missiles...
In a move set to counter Russia’s reinforcement on NATO's borders, Poland and the U.S. Have agreed that Warsaw will purchase the American-made Patriot air defense missile, the Polish government announced Thursday. Trump delighted many in Poland when he announced he would be visiting the country ...

    2. Trump Sends Tank-Killing Missile To Fight Russia in ...
      www.newsweek.com/trump-tank-killing-missile-fight-russia-ukraine...
The Trump administration approved the sale of anti-tank missiles to Ukraine on Friday as it continues to fight pro-Russian forces in the eastern part of the country, a move that has angered the Kremlin and signifies the U.S. …

Twice Trump did things to anger Russia. Twice Obama capitulated to Russia by taking those missile launchers out and refusing to give the Ukaine weapons to fight Russian backed insurgents.

Remember it was Obama caught on an open Mike telling the Russian delegate that he would be more able to work with them after the election. If anyone looks like they worked for the Russians it was Obama.

You know, we defeated Germany and transpired from being their Enemy to being helpful to reconstructing Germany. I was there in 1962 and naturally after we destroyed Germany along with Britain and the Soviet union, it was one hell of destroyed mess. (West Germany almost recovered by 1962 -- East Germany had a lot of destruction remaining) At my age I recall our newsreels common at movies. Then in the 1950s we saw news on the TV. Anyway, at the movie newsreels, we saw then the utter destruction of Germany. Germany has more cause to see us as the enemy than we have to see them as one.

Point Being is Reagan put the Soviet union out of business. When Russia lost their vast territory, they were peeled back as an onion to their first territories and they were politically a waste land. So it turned direction. As we did in Germany, Japan and Italy. Any friend of Hitler was our enemy. Imagine if today we treated Those three countries the way Democrats want Russia treated. We may never establish a cordial relationship with Russia unless Trump manages to do it. Even Obama tried to establish a cordial relationship.
When GW Bush tried it, the Democrats tossed a major hissy fit. They accepted it with hearty approval when Obama considered Russia his pal.

Casino lights are dimming in Atlantic City thanks to some new competitors in the Northeast and a dive in disposable income. The Taj Mahal will shutter in November if it doesn't reach a deal with its union and reduce expenses; Trump Plaza will close next Tuesday. That closure marks the third casualty in Atlantic City this month—Showboat and Revel are the other two—and 8,300 people will now be out of work. Trump Entertainment has another 4,600 employees. (Read more Atlantic City stories.)

They effen think we do not know the truth about Russia and it's leadership. Democrats loved Putin when it was Obama as president.
