It's not embarrassing... It's great to see older people staying active. Tasteless meme btw.

It's a funny picture (Just like Trump standing over 300 burgers on fancy plates, condiments and pizza, with a portrait of Abraham Lincoln hanging in the background). But at least he's trying. That should be encouraged, not shunned.

If Obama were president he would have told Clemson to stay home...not honored the invite because he was to greedy to spend any of the millions he made off elected office. If Clinton won.. she’d be asking what a “Clemson” was on the phone with Putin begging for that next Foudation “donation”

True...what about trump actually honoring the invite to the national champs and buying them all dinner himself? That’s what good leaders do

Big whoop. Righties usually don't think much of sport figures anyway, unless somehow the narrative "benefits" Trump.

Bush Jr cycled and that's great man. Exercise is important and yes presidents, including Trump, don't work or honor someone every minute that they're in office.

Also, while it's great that Trump did something and the players looked like they were enjoying themselves, this was a spectacle meant to be a distraction from the Government being shut down. He didn't need to have the national champions at the White House in January. Usually this white house visit happens in April.

A rather small percentage to be sure.

But this is a debate forum about politics and the decision to serve fast food on a silver platter by candlelight was a political decision by trump. A classless one that makes many further ashamed of trump's impact on the presidency. So I made a thread.

He had already had invited them and it scheduled. He shouldn’t have to cancel it because the Dems are in Puerto Rico instead of working on a compromise. These kids deserved more

Clemson Coach on McDonald’s Night at the White House: “The Team Loved It!”

Proud to be an American and a member of the National Championship football team, the Clemson University Tigers today. I can’t believe this boy from Fayetteville, NC got to eat McDonald’s with his wife and some of his closest friends in the White House. There’s enough hate and division in the world, especially when it comes to politics. The team loved it. The families loved it, and everyone was so hospitable and welcoming in the White House. It’s a pretty cool tradition that the National Champions get to visit the White House. I don’t know if I will ever get that experience again but I’m blessed to experience it at least once!

People can politicize anything. Today and tonight wasn’t about politics, political parties, presidents or what divides us. Tonight was about a group of young men being honored for their extraordinary feat and their unbelievable character. Congrats boys; y’all deserve it!

    Go Tigers and Go America!

So shut the hell up all you Trump deranged liberals America is getting sick and tired of your unhinged hate
    give it a rest
that visit was for the team not for you and the Team loved it so once again shut the hell up

Well...I'm laughing at you too about having such high regard for a billionaire who drop a miniscule amount of money who in all likelihood will write it off if indeed he paid with his own money.

Hello, jugernot. For you, I have a serious question about HEALTH and 'Childhood Trauma' (#ACEs) victim President Barack 'My Brother's Keeper' Obama?

Wow, the bigotry and profiling and stereotyping, is astounding. But not surprising, considering you political affiliation. Just assume they are drunks who eat junk food @2am because...the South.

Due to the shutdown he could have very well rescheduled. I am sure the team would have been fine with that. Also, Trump is the cause of the shutdown. He had a deal in place that he was going to sign and didn't follow through due to the backlash he was getting from conservative talking heads. If he wants his wall use the emergency powers and see how that fairs in the courts. At the very least he can accept bills to open portions of the government and continue to hash out a deal on the border.

Furthermore, if this were really just about the players, and celebrating them accomplishment, we shouldn't even know that Trump himself paid for the food. One would think the more selfless thing to do would be to keep that low key.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Can you elaborate? What do you mean by Oprah and Obama being 'Childhood Trauma' victims.
